Recently, I read a report about the type of music HAC selects for their playlists. (wish I could find it now) The report stated that HAC stations know that a large part of their audience is Moms with kids in their car. Their surveys have shown that these mothers will change the radio channel if a song is coming on that has curse words in it. In other words, stations censor due to the fact that Moms will change to another station to avoid songs with curse words. [snickers] Of course some of us gave up on that strategy when we belatedly realized that our kids knew all the cuss words anyways...... :    |
