Radio Requests Hints

1. Local requests. You should call, e-mail, message or tweet your request to your LOCAL HAC and Pop Station at most 1x per day. Send in a Mediabase Request up to 2x a week.

2. Other requests. If you listen to a distant station online, make sure you include this info and the URL in your request. Spamming and excessive requests or requests from listeners who have no way to listen to the station can have the opposite of the intended result.

3. Be patient. Most radio DJs cannot play a song that is not on the station’s playlist but requests show a PD that there is demand for a song.

4. Niceness counts. Adam fans have a reputation for being polite and courteous to DJs, PDs and station personnel. It matters.

5. SAY THANKS! If stations in your area are already playing "TRESPASSING" let them know that you appreciate them and how much you LOVE the song.

Welcome to Aotearoa!!!!!!! That is the Maori name for New Zealand... means "land of the long white cloud"

For those of you who hold the very common mis-conception that NZ is a tiny island, you may be interested to know that it is actually geographically about the size of California. I have heard people talk about taking a "scenic flight over NZ" which always makes me chuckle! Flying from our biggest city Auckland, to our capital city, Wellington is about the same distance as LA to SF!

But it is a beautiful country and anytime any of you are visiting you will be well looked after by kiwi Glamberts!

Like any country, we have our issues and political dramas, but mostly it is easy and enjoyable living for most of our citizens.

Thank you SO much everyone for your support and good wishes!! It means a lot.
We will be online keeping everyone up to date - probably mostly via twitter, but I will check in here when I can.
Hope to see @catz soon too.... she has had some more drama to cope with, poor thing - always seems to be something. But we will be together this week and in Melbourne!!!

So here's my letter to Adam, I didn't really think about what to write I just sat down and wrote from my heart.

It's kinda long.

Dear Adam

It feels like I have been your fan for a long time, but it's only been around over 2 years. And in those 2 years, so much has happened in my life! I didn't know about you when you were on American Idol, but since I first saw For Your Entertainment on my tv here in New Zealand I started falling in love with you and your music. You just stood out from all the other musicians on tv with your different and creative style! Since then I had stopped everytime to listen to your music whenever it was on radio or tv. Then WWFM made me get hooked!! I was constantly watching all the top 20 music channels and listening to radios to hear it! Then the day I saw IIHY was such a special day for me that I will never forget, because that was the day I completely fell in love with you and became a proud GLAMBERT! Since that day I have watched all videos of American Idol, interviews, performances, and supported you to try and give back the love that you were giving out to us, your fans. I went to Glam Nation here in Auckland, New Zealand, (which was my first ever concert and it was AMAZING!) and I have made so many new friends and still am! I am a part of the New Zealand Glitter Tribe which I feel really lucky, proud and honored to be able to share the love with such an amazing, kind and caring group of people who are just like me and support you together as one. We not only support and love you, but we support each other, love each other, look out for each other and be completely cuckoo together! We may have different looks, eyes, sexuality, backgrounds, culture, etc but we have the same love for you, the same feelings, and the same look in our eyes whenever we see you.
