Maggy @maggy_97 @shoshannastone Sony Music Germany just told me 'Trespassing' will not go to radio stations over here. Do you know the reason for this?shoshanna stone @shoshannastone @maggy_97 that's not the case. They will follow a US hit. So not yet. Sigh. This is a tad tiresome. I just wish other countries could THINK FOR THEMSELVES!!!! (and, yes, I'm lookin' at Canada, too) >:( You are so right, seoulmate! It's a very frustrating situation! (<----- me this evening when I read the news!) After getting the sad news there is now a "twitition" to get TP on the German radio! twitition.com/4wzg4Don't think it will have a big impact but I signed it and some of us also tweeted back to Sony Germany that we are very sad about the situation! :( twitter.com/sonymusicde/statuses/255634277407023104Perhaps I will nonetheless try to request TP at my radio station in the next time because last year they also played FYE and Fever for me in their request show and both songs were no singles here! I will let you all know if I'm successful!

Well actually -- I was told requests from 6 people. Since WSTR has not be pushed as a place to request and has not played the song, it makes sense to me. I honestly think that most Adam fans are not aware that the single is out there. And there are a lot of stations in the US for the people who follow Adam and request. I wonder if that number only counted live phone call requests? I can't say -- it was just a brief comment in a conversation on another subject. My guess is that it was about 6 vs. exactly 6. ** Just speaking for myself, I admit that I have not been requesting at my local stations by focused on UMitIt and other contests.

Q3 it is common practice for DJs to tell fans that they are not playing a song because they are not getting enough requests. Don't know whether they have used this request for Trespassing yet, but they have used it in the past with other Adam songs. And not just Adam fans---David Archuleta fans were given this excuse, Cook fans were given this excuse, on and on. Cook and Archie fans acted like Clay fans are supposed to have acted. They got frustrated and started to just request from everywhere, without thought, way too often. It did not help these songs get airplay. Think about being a receptionist or a DJ at a radio station and getting called by a ____ fan and told you aren't being fair or you are a hater or playing crap. >> From what I hear, Adam fans are viewed as being passionate but nice. It is appreciated. (but somewhat dangerous on Twitter ). I still believe LOCAL requests are golden, all other request are risky and need to be done with care. ETA: I edited this to clarify. But Q3, I wasn't talking about Archie and Cook fans spamming stations. I was talking about the fact that both fan bases had individuals who were told by radio DJs that the songs weren't being played because they were not getting enough requests. Obviously, request locally. That's what I am doing, and what a ton of us are doing. I just think it it is unrealistic for a song nobody is hearing to be generating a significant amount of requests. And the worst part is that DJs/PDs know this. They just manipulate the numbers to give themselves an "excuse" to use with fans.

Well I do request locally..probaly one of the six. been doing it daily. Also do a lot on-line as it crops up and definitely click the ones where it doesn't matter where u vote from. it seems Canada is doing a decent job, but it still needs to pick up there too. It's a part-time job. Do other fan bases really do this?

I think we are all trying to do the best we can. I know I'm trying to become more informed so my requesting has some value. After the *show that shall not be named* period, I promised myself that I would act, but not out of fear or desperation that Adam will not have a career. I am focused in this intent.
I've been helped tonite by Q3 and members of Atop and am personalizing my own game plan for how I best think I can constructively assist in requesting Trespassing. I feel empowered by this. I no longer feel tugged at every turn. My plan may be small by some standards, but it is mine and I can say..Yes, this I can commit to.
Thanks to all for your help!

Looks like Trespassing was played already on UMix. Seems funny when everyone was posting about radio play for the last little while.

I mentioned this yesterday, but it may have been buried in other news . . .
My local request station in San Francisco replied to my email, saying . . .
"This is verrry early in the cycle of the 'Trespassing' single . . . and we are huge supporters of Adam."
I have no idea what this response means. Should I wait and request later? Is it too soon to request? Do they have a schedule I'm unaware of? Is this all preplanned?
Clueless!

I am absolutely convinced that clicking has nothing to do with what is being played. I think yesterday's idea of testing and not wacking one night would be great. Can we designate tomorrow night as a NO-WACKING test?
