This! I just read your post now, but this was what I was getting at. I know from a very "well informed" DJ in Chicago that people do not request from radio anymore. And he said just what you did---radio is already playing the songs over and over, they don't need to request. Or, they just turn on the iPod and pull up their own playlist. Taking it a step further, red flags pop up all over when it's an Idol artist. Requests for these artists are just plain looked at differently. Eta---I am still requesting because the alternative is a radio station that thinks there is NO interest at all. But in reality, this "radio issue" is kinda out of our hands. so if the whole "radio needs requests" is a myth - WHY does Adam keep asking us to request? One might assume that he is in the know and would not be tweeting the need to request had it been completely useless.. IDK... it is more than frustrating... In the meantime - texting is very easy once the group text is set up... so i'll keep doing it... Well, to be technical, we were responding to the statement that there weren't "enough requests," which I find hard to believe, comparative to other artists. I don't begin to understand the sekrit skullduggery that is the ins and outs of corporate radio, but if there is one chance that we CAN convey interest and also THAT WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY, I'll be happy to do my requesting. Even if there is a small chance it will have an impact, I'll keep taking the risk.

Well, it finally stopped trending. It's still trending in Russia :D I asked this before but I would really love some help with this. I have a twitter account that I don't really use but I would love to help with Adam tweeting campaigns. Unfortunately, I don't know the correct way to tweet things. When you tweet something out does your twitter name automatically show up or do you have to add it in the tweet? Which goes first...the tweet or your twitter name. And when you use the # does it always have to start your tweet? And does it go before your name? I'm probably not making much sense here but I really don't know what I'm doing with twitter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to put your name or anything else. You also don't need to keep track of how many characters you're typing because a counter will appear underneath the box as you type and tell you how many characters you have left before you reach the maximum of 140. You can put your hashtag anywhere in your tweet. When you finish saying what you want to say, just click "Tweet" underneath the box. Done!

If you like what someone else said, just put your cursor over their tweet and underneath it, the words Expand, Reply, Retweet, and Favorite will appear. Click on Retweet and you've saved yourself some typing!

Done!
Just wanted to add more: - When you tweet, only those people who follow you can see your tweets, others, such as radio stations don't if they don't follow you. - you can only see the tweets of those who you follow. If you want to keep track of your local radio stations, follow them - if you want to tweet your radio stations, you have to insert their twitter address (the one starting with this @ symbol). somewhere in your tweet. If you start with their addy, only they can see your tweet. If you insert it in the middle or the end of your message, all of your followers and the radio station can see it. So you decide how you want to populate your message. - the harsh tag is meant for trending/searching. For example, when Adam had the Trespassing contest, he asked the contestants to insert certain harshtag (I forgot what it was) because when he clicked on that harsh tag he could see all the twitter messages related to the contest. If the harshtag is for searching purpose like that, you can insert it anywhere. The harshtag can be used for trending purpose, but it seems trickier. I heard pple say that it's harder to trend if the harshtags are placed at the beginning of a message, but there are also opposite opinion, and I really don't know which one is correct. hth
