No one knows for sure but the best guess is that plays need to be from US IP addresses. So no, do not waste your time. But you can remind any US fans that you know online to play the lyric video every now and then.  [Official permission to be a pest.] REALLY ? !!!!! sucks to know that I can't help in anything . DAMN IT !!!!!!! Yes, and no. Think about it -- Billboard's goal is to determine what is popular in the US, Canada, Germany, Japan, etc. They are going to do everything they can to 1) eliminate data from outside the US and 2) remove the effect of fanatical behavior. |

I can't remember the name of the person who won in Adam's category the last time he was nominated. But, on my radar, it was someone obscure. She may have been known to the masses but not to me -- a jazz artist. I'm pretty sure her numbers weren't stellar and she won. I think Adam may have a chance to be nominated because Trespassing received strong reviews. It sure would be fun if he was nominated! Adam was nominated for 2011 Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Bruno Mars won. You may be thinking of the Best New Artist, which was Esperanza Spalding, a jazz bassist/singer. She was not well known to the general public. But your point may be that the awards don't necessarily go to the most popular/well known in each category. After the discussion yesterday about Youtube's and iTunes' efforts to eliminate fan spamming, I am wondering about Rhaosody etc. I have made a Rhapsody playlist with about 15 Trespassing tracks which I play often. Would it be better to just play it intermixed with other tracks and less frequently?

as far as I remember from the last time Q3's explanation - there are literally tens of thousands of submissions... it seems that everything gets submitted in all possible categories just to see what sticks... Nomination is of course another story and IMO RCA managed to screw TP so royally that despite the excellency of the album it has been pretty much unnoticed by the general public and probably the industry...
