Well, it should be simple. And it would be if there were some basic logic attached to it. So you say that when you change to hours past noon you start counting from 12 and the next number is 1... ok then. I am sorry, but I might not remember it next time due to its irrationality :( I still get confused trying to sort out months and days when folks from other than the US refer to dates, since we list months first and others list the day first. (Is October 1st 10/1/12 or 1/10/12?). Would it be easier for all to use military time? (One hour after midnight is 1:00 and one hour after noon is 13:00) Hell, the US still refuses to use metric measures in everyday life. Not saying any system is wrong, just different, and it takes a little while to change how I think about something sometimes. I do love that world clock though, and will keep it in my favorites as long as Adam is criss-crossing the globe, which I expect to be for a very long time.

Midnight is the last number 24.00 after which we start counting from zero, two minutes past midnight is 00.02, 1 am is 01.00 etc. Noon is always 12.00, two minutes past noon is 12.02, 1 pm is 13.00 etc

When I moved to the US from Canada, I had a hard time with the date too. A few other things gave me trouble as well. I had just gotten used to the metric system and had to revert back. Now I just do both in my head when ever I think of weights or miles or temperature. I guess if you want to travel it comes in handy!

Okay, we sometimes do that here also, but we call it military time or using the 24 hour clock. But it isn't standard.

Sorry Revlisacat for some reason what I had written in reply did not show up. So here goes again. Beautiful, tears here also. I am sure that she is grateful to have a friend like you. It helps so much to know that someone cares, is willing to listen, and offers support and love. Hi, bb! Yes, it *did* show up, but it was inside revlisacat's post! When you're quoting someone, just make sure you start typing after the [ / quote] at the very bottom.

A personal story I thought I would share -- Okay, I'll get off my soapbox and fanbox now--LOL! Blessings to you and your family -- let you son know that you have a Lutheran pastor in your corner who says that you are loved for who you are and not who others think you should be. So--what do you guys think?
