Well, he didn't write it FOR Adam. He wrote it for himself and then never used it. Someone just picked it up for Adam. I don't get the problem with his answer.
And totally unpopular opinion, but I think Adam ought to do a few one-offs and scrap the idea of a major Trespassing tour. He has no hit song and the album has been off the BB chart for months. The last thing he needs is to disappear for 3 to 6 months. I would rather his management/label work on some more high profile things and simply get him actively involved in a new strategy (collabs, features, etc.) IF, Trespassing takes off or he gets a Grammy nom, that might change my opinion on a tour.
joining you in your unpopular opinion.
Trespassing doesn't have enough buzz to do a substantial tour on so he's better off doing higher profile gigs to keep his name out there and a north american tour with Queen with be a major deal.
I just saw Journey/Pat Benatar this last weekend and they filled a 14K ampitheater without a problem. I have no doubt Queen + Adam Lambert could do the same thing.
I do not believe Adam would how any problem doing a headline tour. Having "hits" or a current BB 200 album is not what makes a tour successful. Being an entertainer who people want to see is what makes a successful tour.
No, Adam is not going to fill arenas.
But, yes, Adam can put together a headline show and tour in 3K - 5K venues. Or he can co-tour in larger venues.
My bet is that there will not be a "Trespassing Tour" but there will be an "Adam Lambert Show".
JMHO but the last thing Adam needs to do is do a lot of special shows with Queen to prove he can sing and entertain.

In any case the first decent single from Trespassing goes on sale tomorrow. There is a lot of life left in this project.
