They should have released the EP after PLL. We needed "organic" help from casual fans to get the song anywhere. Maybe it is best to just buy the EP now because the single certainly didn't reach a point where it would influence radio favorably. Add to that, Adam himself tweeted to buy the EP and that seems to be what his circle of friends is doing.
IMO, the strategy to buy the single itself "works" if it gets into the top 50 on iTunes (although it may have needed top 10 to get radio to notice).
What is "Request Adam?" Is someone from the label actually involved or are they just making things up as they go. Because anyone can claim to get an email from management. Do they have real sources?

prettylittleliars.alloyentertainment.com/There's a cute picture here from the train set of PLL - Adam is seated and Lucy Hale is showing him her fangs. It's probably been posted here already and I missed it, but if not . . . (I'd bring it over, but . . . let's just say I tried.) Is that ET interview what will air on ET tonite? I hope so. Lucy Hale say such nice things about Adam's singing, then (on AI) and now (new music) and, of course, comments on how sweet he is. It is a cute picture .... Thanks for the link bridget

So then it's not a good outcome? ??? But it was clear that only the hardcore part of the fanbase was going to know about the "buy the radio edit" orders. Adam tweeted: "Buy the EP!", Tommy Joe tweeted that he had bought the EP... I mean, the clearest message, the one that reached the most people, was: "buy the EP". [/IMG] So if it's better to chart the song, I really don't understand why is it that they released a whole EP.
The "buy the track" campaign is a fan idea. And it makes sense. But only core fans will do this kind of intentional buying. RCA clearly wants to sell the EP because there is no single release. It also appears that Adam wants fans to buy the EP. Why? Selling the EP will generate more revenue. It really is pretty simple: > Fans want Trespassing (single) to be a hit and do not really care about the bottomline to get there. > RCA and Adam need to consider the bottomline. They are interested in maximizing profits from the Trespassing project. They only promote when it will generate sales to offset the promotion. They work to get songs on the radio so that they can sell recorded music. In any case, fans seem to be buying both the EP and the single tracks. So it is not a choice. We can do both. If the buying pace holds up, the EP may chart on the US Billboard 200 -- although it will not be high on the chart unless sales accelerate. The single had almost no chance of charting on the Hot 100 (main US singles chart) because radio and streaming media is 65% of the chart points. But the single could move up on iTunes after PLL and that is worth something.

idolator dot com @idolator When pop gets political: @ladygaga, @adamlambert & @aubreyoday sound off on the presidential debate. ow.ly/ey3F5 Election 2012: The 5 Best Tweets From Last Night’s Presidential DebateSam Lansky October 17th, 2012 The online discussion during last night’s (October 16) second presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney peaked at an astonishing 110,000 tweets per minute, with political commentators and everyday citizens alike offering opinions on the conversation. And yet, of equal import were the tweets from America’s recording artists, like Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, who entered the fray to offer insight, humor and — in Aubrey O’Day‘s case — some rather cogent points on the myth of capital gains for the lower class, how “we live in a world of difference, hrouded in perspective,” and why Romney is a “flop.” (Seriously, if O’Day’s solo career doesn’t pan out, she could probably make a killing as a pundit on MSNBC, or maybe a haiku writer.)
Our five favorite tweets from last night’s debate:
5. Adam kept it classy.

How much did number 200 sell on BB 200 last week? I want to get an idea of the kind of sales he needs to chart in the lower end. Sorry I am so incompetent of finding things on my own.

The full chart numbers didn't leak last week but for a while now the #200 has been somewhere around 2500. ETA: The last chart that leaked was Pink's debut week. #200 sold 2299 #100 sold 4184 #50 sold 9190 #40 sold 11419 #10 sold 29866 I don't have figures from any of the previous remix releases all I could find was week one of Acoustic Live! which was 9781.
