Have always loved this song. Don't know why it did not get promoted by Adam. As I remember, Adam said in some interview that the long bridge in Pick U Up that sounds like it was sung in one very long breath, was actually done by singing the bridge multiple times taking the breath in different places and then the no-breath bridge put together via computer editing. So, the song would be too difficult to sing live. Love Pick U Up. It could have been a big hit - I suppose. Do you think that the reason why it couldn't be a single is that it's difficult to sing live. ??? |

A few points from Finland to fellow Finns: * YleX did not add TP this week either to their 'most wanted' voting :( * NRJ TOP10 voting list still has NCOE and no TP although TP has been played on the countdown. Do continue with the write-in votes! * bobo was wondering about the text 'ostettu' on iTunes. The person who took the screencap had just bought the EP, that's what the text means (also when you buy the colour of the button changes to grey). * TP album is on sale until end October in 'Anttila Top10' (I saw this in 'Kodin ykkönen'). If you need some Christmas presents, now is the time to buy it at 7,99 euros (normal price 19,95). * There was also a 'Prisma' nearby (in an area I don't normally go) and they had TP on the shelf, yay. It might be that the other 'Prisma' I mentioned earlier this month had sold out all their copies as it seems to still be part of their assortment. Thanks Belle. Yes, of course, how stupid I am :redface: Good to know that TP is now only 7,99. My friends will get the album on Christmas. ;D |

I heeded Q3's reminder that today is the last day to buy the Remix EP. I already bought the radio edit on iTunes, so off to Amazon I went (using the Atop link). I have purchased MP3s there before and there was always an option to download without using their download application. But that option has disappeared. Someone a few days ago here was wondering how to download without installing the app. I found the way--and it's EASY. To download MP3s from Amazon without installing their download application:- Send your purchase to the Amazon cloud (the internet storage for your music).
- From the list of your songs there, put a check mark on ONLY ONE.
- Then click the Download button on top. You will be given the option to download the Amazon MP3 Downloader OR (read the small print) "Skip installation." Click it. You can only download one song at a time.
Turns out I had some Nikka Costa songs in the cloud that I didn't remember about. I downloaded them this way also. ;D |

WOW Air New Zealand has twice a week flights to Bali , round trip abt.$1499.00 and about 14 hours.. Yet another good reason for living in gorgeous New Zealand.
from Asheville impossible.. from Atlanta, Korean airlines ... total Over
$8,000 flight for two &over 24 hour flight plus two or three lay overs. The cost without hotel,food,Adam's concert, etc.. My dream of Bali , on my bucket list, is fast disappearing.
A positive , now flying to see Adam anywhere in the states will seem like a bargain.. LOL

This is about 'Pick U Up': I remember Adam's dad answering a question about A's FYE songs and he mentioned one of the lines in PUU "Where are you, I need someone to be my lover" . Since my memory of the entire quote is beyond me at the moment, I believe this may trigger gelly to find it. To characterize what his dad meant: this line in A's song has deep meaning. PUU could be considered one of the more deeply personal songs that Adam has penned. 'Take Back' on TSP is also a very personal one.
Hope someone can locate his dad's quote on PUU.

OK That's it for me Just ordered another Trespassing EP album plus individual songs plus, plus.. If I can't go to Bali .. hell I will spend my money at I Tunes and Amazon.. that's just how I roll.  |
