* long-ass post! scroll, scroll, scroll if you aren't in the mood for reading!All the themes of Trespassing are so personal, so deeply rooted in his DNA, in his past and present and promises of future, that they feel like confessions. The impressions on how well he's managed to do that, or the quality of the music and songwriting are subjective. I find the album magnificent, and as an art consumer, I couldn't care less what others think about it. But the meaning of the album for him is indisputable . Especially after the rushed , albeit great, FYE. This Trespassing stuff was just waiting inside of him for its release. It's his signature; his artistic ID. - great post! Also I feel that all of us who love and care about Adam are going to treasure Trespassing not only now but also in the years to come regardless of how successful it is commercially at this time. It's Adam's personal statement and he has opened up to us in a way that as a true artist he must. |

I'm way late, but I had to laugh at Augenpoesie's "household rubber" story. Of course, I thought condom at first, but that does not go with 'household", so then maybe she means an eraser. Hmm? I'm glad she had a picture, because in Canada we usually call them elastic bands.
