One of my colleagues ( therefore an 'educated' man) keeps telling me that the Americans are trying to spread the homosexuality through the TV show Will & Grace, thus lowering our natality until all Serbs disappeared, so that they could come here and start their world domination. (?!?!?!?) My dear Alek. I read your whole post, and I loved it. You're an amazing person.  This part I quoted left me open-mouthed. OhmyGod. How can an educated person believe something as ridiculous as that?  |

Skylar, if not too intrusive, I'd love to see a pic of your house on stilts! Lots of glass, too, if I remember? This is not a pretty picture of it. All the leaves are down. If there was not a bamboo divider standing underneath the house you would be able to see through to the other side underneath. And if the perspective was right and all the curtains were open you would be able to see straight through the house to the other side in the center part as well. Though it looks lightweight, it is actually extremely sturdy. Designed by an MIT architect. Has been through 40 winters. We just never had hurricanes like this before. This weather is a whole new deal.    Vega powdered meals, check, headlamp, check, bottled waters, check, raincoat, check, 3 days of canned olives, canned salmon, canned artichoke hearts, check.
