Typically, I passed out an hour before the concert; missed the stream. I found the vids and played them. Through the haze and blurriness of amateur vids, taken by unsteady hands, there he was - my lips instantly dragged into a smile:))), while my eyes expertly catalogued and soaked his pants, the hat, the wig, his pants, the GNT coat, his pants, the medges, his pants... you catch my drift :D. I could recognise his physical outlines among million others. How can anyone possibly not... The feeling reminded me of the situation when I go out without my glasses, and I'm terribly myopic... There's the fright of people passing me by, almost overwhelming, since I don't recognise them, (maybe it's the fear of unknown, idk), but everything is blurry and out of focus... Until my weak eyes catch a glimpse of a familiar shape, clothes and features and contours of a friend - talk about relief! Talk about finding happiness in small things - recognising a friend. Anyway, that's how I felt watching the concert. I almost appreciated the less than perfect vids - like I'm some superduper Adam pro who needs not to see and hear all to know there's some major greatness going on... :D His performance aura was cocky, with the bravado of a master of ceremonies; he was totally HBIC last night, flinging his coat and his hair like matador meets diva meets matrix... Was it his usual confidence or the audience, I wouldn't know, but I do think it has something to do with his clothes. That's what clothes does, makes you feel like this, like that, and I believe that the top hat, the wig, the boots and exceptionally flattering pants did wonders for his stage personna. My retinas surely sent a s*itload of candy directly to my brain who has such a sweet tooth for Adam sugar:) I loveloveloved it! Naturally, what goes without saying: he sang, and he sang his beloved songs - I don't think he needs much more on top of that to feel good. As for myself, I'm at the point where sound issues and shaky videos don't bother me at all. ( especially from oversleeping-the-stream distance and now watching the vids in the comfort of late afternoon:) I'll take Adam any way you give it to me, any time of the day! The only thing I'm sorry for: no Cuckoo! :-/

Animated, lovely art!!! What's interesting is that I find poetry not only in your images, but also in the titles you give them... I mean, SHUSH ROYALE You rock, girl!!! KING OF THE CONCRETE JUNGLE reminds me of my two fav songs - Alicia Keys, New York ( Empire State of Mind) "concrete jungle where dreams are made of...", and Yoav, Club Thing:))) Though he says 'king of the cardboard jungle'... I think :

Animated, I love your art. Alek, great post! Loved the part about being myopic and suddenly recognizing a friend's contours. I'm not myopic, but I've had situations in which I've been totally relieved at finding someone I know. For me, watching Adam on stage makes me feel like watching a family member achieve something important. It makes me feel proud, and blissfully happy, and giddy, and so good. It's kinda crazy.
