Nica hope you are on tonight I am planning to head up to NY tomorrow - is everything ok up there? I was hoping to see a Broadway show. Do you think Broadway will be open? I planned this roundevue about a month ago. SO I want to go bad...Hope to see "Newsies" I just got my internet back... no phone service yet... I am not sure. The subways are not going to be in service, there should be buses... IDK if a Broadway show would be opened - may be you can call tomorrow before leaving? I can't imagine how people get to work without subways, even though they allowed the cabs to pick up several passengers... The life in Manhattan is very far from normal still... |

The vids so far are not as clear as I would have liked, but the sound is pretty good. One of the (many) things that amazes me is that Adam keeps sounding better and better. I know that male voices continue to grow and mature until about age 35, but to hear Adam's voice get purer, fuller, richer, and more ringing over the past couple of years is a treat. I mean, I loved his voice and his mastery of technique at 22. What will it be like in another 5 years? The other "neat" thing about these videos is that they are proof positive for any naysayers that Adam DOES NOT lip sync or use an enhancing vocal backing track. When he drops out of the vocals to try to hear something and correct it, you can clearly hear the lack of lead, and the change in the quality of the sound... thinner and less resonant without his voice. When he comes back in, you know it even if you are not seeing him in the camera shot. The sound is suddenly warmer and just FEELS better. Damn! I LOVE his voice. (His other assets just add wonderful frosting to the cake). I can't hear the things you do and I find it fascinating when you explain this stuff to us.  |

So proud of our Texas Glamberts! And where are you? Report!!!!! The energy and love at the concert was obvious, even through the vids that have been posted. Looks like Adam was really having fun, despite the sound issues. He is such a professional. Love the way he made it seem like a song while doing the on stage sound check before Trespassing. Loved his banter, and the way he talked to the crowd, and wanted to get close to his fans and touch them. Hell! I loved every minute of this crazy ass performance! I know we have several Atop peeps in the Dallas area that were probably there: fletcher, barbaraindallas to name 2 off the top of my head. Also, a bunch of Houston Glamberts that don't post here went. One of my very good friends, RoRo was there. I haven't heard from her yet, she drove back to Houston from Dallas last night (4 hour drive). DH is gone (his timing sucks cause I didn't get to watch stream in real time) so I have all day to watch the stream, wait for recaps and more vids. Gonna be a fun day for me, I love living vicariously through Atop. waiting for recaps...................... I am a Texas Glambert from Grapevine. I was at Texas Tango last night in my glampire garb. Purple wig and all. I arrived very early and immediately saw @lamberlust outside waiting to go in at 5:00. Many other people but not many fans until I got inside. Waited through Philip Philips and Gavin Degraw to get in to see Adam. Meet and Greet delayed due to interviews, traffic and who knows what all. But finally got in. It was very rushed but I can't complain when I get to see Adam. He had on his little sunglasses so I couldn't look into his beautiful blue eyes but he complimented by purple wig which looks horrible in pictures but I did it for Adam because he ask us to dress up like Glampires. The Adam set was short but electrifying until NCOE ended and that was it. We stomped and screamed but he didn't come back. It seemed so strange and it was disappointing. I have never been to a concert without an encore. My friend Ana and I tried to watch Alanis but just couldn't get into it so we left. I found out today that Adam went outside and greeted fans. I so wish I had known that. Oh well next time. I just never get enough of Adam. If he sand 40 songs I would still want more. The cutest thing I saw was a family with 3 adorable little girls who were Adam fans. They all had caution tape tied around their heads in bows. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the show except the couple next to me. I kept trying to talk to the guy asking him if he liked Adam and he was noncommittal. His date or wife (not sure) said she had never heard of Adam. They sat there on the 4th row with scowls on their faces the whole time. I think they must have had a big fight before Adam came on. They were late and actually came in right before Adam. Go figure. All in all it was a great night!! Seeing Glamberts from all over the country is always so much fun!! The publicity in Dallas has been wonderful for Adam. Finally a breakthrough in the Bible Belt. Channel 8 here gave him an incredible welcome and wonderful interviews that are being aired every morning this week. So happy!!!! |
