Actually, today we have All Saints' Day in Finland. It is for remembrance of the passed-away family members. We visit the cemetery and lit candles to their memory. It is often very gloomy and a sad day, time to stop all the fuss and indulge in silent longing for the loved ones. Not everyone takes it so seriously but I think that today is not for partying. (And usually the eves of such days are party nights.) You can ease the sadness of it by sharing a meal, good memories and laughter with your extended family that you don't meet very often. As the years go by the gloom (of religious origin) is fading away. When I was young no permits were issued for organising a public event with dancing involved on the eve of today (and Easter), don't know if the ban is lifted already. I didn't and still don't understand why the eve is was considered so 'holy', the actual day is a bit different matter. But everyone can choose for themselves. Personally, I lit some candles as I don't have any family left, otherwise a normal saturday for me. |

An update on radio play in Finland. I checked only regular programming playlists Nov 1 - Nov 3 (>3pm) for the six most important stations. The first two only play hits and appeal most to young adults, the others have more varied contents and have more listeners in over 35-year-olds. (A survey about listeners quoted in the numbers thread yesterday.) YleX - no Adam at all (!) I apologize to everyone who wanted the link to the pic and I failed to send it to them immediately because I fell asleep. This 'mystery' photo thing has gotten a little out of proportions... It's a VERY HOT photo, imo, but it was spontaneously tagged as mysterious only because Adam posted it on his personal FB account which is locked. However, his cover and his profile photo can be seen, and shared on FB, and Adam knows that. He changes them often. I might be crazy, but since he is posting a lot of fan art there, for example the one Kamar posted today, I've always felt that as his little wink to his fans, 'I like what you do' kind of wink. Idk. However, the policy of this board is that stuff from his private account should not be posted and that should be respected. To the ones with insatiable curiosity, all I can say, is: Look, and you shall find :D Want to comment on this post because I 100% agree! The cover photos and profile pics are not private, even on a FB page that is not open to anyone as a "friend." I am 99% sure that some of the pics Adam posts there are because he knows we know! He uses fan art often. And I think this recent one was done as a "wink" to us. Why else post a pic that is 6 months old? I'll bet all the pics from that photo session are inside his private pages for his friends to see. And it is from a professional photo shoot. |

Thanks wal That is the pic we are all trying to see very cool but why can't we post it. Aaa.. Good question. Is is his profile picture from his private FB, but visible for all who use FB. So I think it would be OK to post it because it is all over anyhow, and Adam knows very well that people get it. However it seems to be ATOP policy not to show those here, and we need to respect that
If a photo is on a public page of a private Facebook account, it is OK to post here. I have posted the Tony Duran Smoking photo in the Members-Only section -- although it appears to be a publicly posted photo. |
