spinning fantasies, spinning fantasies.... Nile Rodgers has been involved with VH1 Divas in the past (he musical directed the show one year, and worked with...wait for it...Donna Summer)... ...any chance, given this year's focus on American dance and disco music, and Nile's/Chic's deep influence on the genre, that he'll be back? I'm calling it now: Nile and Chic do a Donna-Summer-into-Shady medley with Adam! Take me, take me down, boys!  Wut? Can't a girl dream? ;D (spinning some more: didn't Nile dm Adam with Huge Idea a few months back? Things that make you go hmmmmm....  ) I'm dreamin' with ya girl... Actually it would all make sense. Adam has talked often about the value of networking. It's just hard to say where this came from since his network seems to be growing by the day (well deserved!). Am so excited for him to be seen by millions again.  |

The singer will be hosting the event, which is set to “pay homage to the greatest divas of dance music with performances featuring current and classic dance hits”, and he has also been asked to treat viewers and audience members to a live set. Speaking about the honour, Lambert explained that he can’t wait and expects it to be a memorable show: “I’m so thrilled to be hosting ‘VH1 Divas’ this year. I have a feeling it’s going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And LIVE!! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!” This year’s ‘VH1 Divas’ will also include tributes to the late Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. But where are the real Divas, Xtina, Gaga, Pink, Beyonce, JHud, Rhianna, KP ??? Been there done that. Looking at past Divas concerts it is like all the great girls have been on one time or another. Although some have made multiple appearances so you never know! |
