Self Professed “Sometimes” Diva Adam Lambert Talks His VH1 DIVAS Hosting Gig On Big Morning Buzz Live Though the news broke earlier this morning, it took hearing it from his own mouth on VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live this morning to shake our too-good-to-be-true disbelief: Adam Lambert has been tapped to host this year’s VH1 DIVAS, airing live on Sunday, December 18th at 9PM ET/8C. Lambert shared a few details about the gig — he says there he will “definitely be singing,” but was reticent when the talk turned to dancing: “You know my foot will be tapping and my foot will be swinging, but I don’t know if we’ll have any full choreographed moments,” he laughed — before taking the deep dive into what “diva” means to him . According to Lambert, “a diva” could be a lot of different things: “I think being a diva is high levels of fabulousness, it’s confidence, it’s fashion, it’s talent, it’s just a real high level of fierce,” he said, insistent that these all be considered positive things. And does he, The Glam One, count himself a diva? He said only “sometimes,” because “it’s my own worst enemy when I look in the mirror sometimes.” Maybe he needs to add “humble” to that list.

spinning fantasies, spinning fantasies.... Nile Rodgers has been involved with VH1 Divas in the past (he musical directed the show one year, and worked with...wait for it...Donna Summer)... ...any chance, given this year's focus on American dance and disco music, and Nile's/Chic's deep influence on the genre, that he'll be back? I'm calling it now: Nile and Chic do a Donna-Summer-into-Shady medley with Adam! Take me, take me down, boys!  Wut? Can't a girl dream? ;D (spinning some more: didn't Nile dm Adam with Huge Idea a few months back? Things that make you go hmmmmm....  ) This is more of a phenomenal idea than a fantasy. Can Adam, since he is hosting, choose what and how he is going to perform? The expected rolling out of events would include him doing Trespassing as his current single, plus paying Whitney/Donna tribute with/without a diva of his choice PLUS THIS, hopefully. The best chance to give wings to the epic song of Shady and Adam's collaboration with Mr Rodgers which has not been given full and deserved attention. |
