1- Adam is a opera-trained leggiero tenor who can hold a note for 22 seconds 2- He is a real red-head (?) 3- He is the first AI contestant to tour worlwide after his first album 4- The singer is Jewish 5 - Adam has two tattoos of birds on his chest (WUT ??!!) ETA : hey Annie , we read the same things But , adam does NOT have tattoos on his chest . the one who has birds tattoos on his chest is sauli . The reason we do not know these things is because 3-1/2 of 5 are not true.... 1. Adam had vocal training, not opera training. 2. Not red, it is strawberry blond. 4. (half right) Adam's mother is Jewish. He has Jewish heritage but Adam has never described himself as being Jewish and is not a Jew by most commonly used standards. Adam was not raised as a Jew, never regularly attended temple, does not know Hebrew, and was not Bar Mitzahed. He does not attend temple or associate with a Jewish congregation now. (There is no standard for being Jewish so I go with self-identification plus participation. Conservative and Orthodox Jews go by the mother or conversion plus participation.) 5. And no bird tattoos! IMO 1 for 5 is pretty bad! A few minor points of clarification: - Adam has described himself as Jewish a number of times in interviews, so the publication is right on this point. Here is one example: But, as you say, he did not have a bar mitzvah, nor does he speak Hebrew. So, he is Jewish more from cultural/familial identification than from actual practice. - I do remember Adam saying in an interview that he studied opera for one year. He likened it to a dancer studying ballet -- even dancers who pursue other dance styles will study ballet to develop good technique. Same reason he studied opera. But, of course, that is very different from being "opera-trained". (I can't remember the exact interview -- someone like Gelly, who has an amazing memory, might be able to remember which video would have it). |
