Absolutely wonderful!  So thoughtful and poetic! I love it! BTW, I've always interpreted that phrase as: "I let you in, you're looking at the real me. Now, I'm not hiding anything, and that's a relief for me." Or something like that. |

It's really hard to tell from the vids we have seen so far. Sounds like the crowd was singing along and some of that was picked up. I trust Adam - he knows what he likes and what sounds good, I'm not gonna dis his vajajays until I hear him live. I agree. Maybe I've missed it but I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about the VJJ's live. In fact, I've only seen tweets say how fun they are and that they add to the show. I know they are not Adam-level vocals but I guess I don't really need them to be. I get that on some of the vids they can sound overpowering but I think that may be due to their proximity to the person recording. IDK, I'm not invested in them but the fans at the concert seemed to enjoy everything. I have a feeling they are fine live. I've been to 2 concerts with the back-up singers and they (and even Adam) sound much better live. The audio recording feature on cameras and cellphones isn't going to do any concert justice. And the location of the person doing the recording makes a difference, too (for example, the closer the person is to the speakers, the more sound distortion there tends to be). Adam is a perfectionist -- he wasn't going to hire back-up singers who can't sing. If he wasn't happy with these ladies, I think they would have been gone by now. (Witness Adam vs. the sound guys -- no shyness in bawling them out when he's unhappy.)  |
