Couple of quick thank yous that can't be said enough: - Thanks so much to all of you that bring the Tweets, pics, videos and news here. There is no other place that does it so well, especially for those of us that can't be on Twitter as events unfold. - Big thank you also to all of you Finns that keep us up to date on Sauli and his blogs and pictures etc. What an interesting and beautiful guy in his own right. I always say that Adam may not be the biggest selling Idol in the U.S., but he certainly is one of the biggest celebrities. Just had another confirmation of that a few minutes ago. I was looking for an article to print about the Vh1 Diva event for a 13 yr old who, although a big Adam fan, would be much more interested in Miley, Demi etc. Except for the VH1 official announcement, every article every link I checked that came up on Yahoo featured Adam and/or had a picture of Adam. (exceptions: one had a picture of Jordin Sparks and there was a small article just about Miley Sirus) I finally gave up checking the links and printed the VH1 announcement and even that one has Adam featured prominently in the front of a group picture - and that works for me! I even went back to check to see if I searched "Adam Lambert" VH1 Divas, but no, I just used the event and the date. These are big name ladies appearing that night and Adam upstaged them in all the on-line reporting. ;D That and all the Are You Going My Way coverage made me smile. Thought it might make one or two of you smile as well. 8-)

I'm always amazed of the depth of music knowledge that some of our posters, have. I think Cassie, in particular is very generous to share her expertise with us and I don't know of anyone who thinks she or others should stop posting about Adam, his voice and critiquing performances on a technical level. It's a great resource here at Atop and is one of things that makes this place special.
The problem, if that's what it is, comes during a night like the Cape Town show, when the excitement level is so high and we're seeing amazing tweets from people at the show, new outfits, new songs, etc... but then as the videos trickle in, after a brief initial flail, the posts start to point out the flaws "...oh, he was flat here, here and here" "the VJJ's are too loud. They need to go" etc... and it kind of takes the wind out of the sails for some of us. I am not saying it's wrong to posts those things, I'm just saying trying to explain why there is sometimes conflict over it. I get the feeling that many of us process things differently. Some like to look at each component of the show and analyze and discuss right away. I think these are detail people who enjoy delving in like that. Others, and I fall into this group, like to look at the whole thing before we make a call and, I admit, probably miss some of the small details, good and bad, along the way. No style is wrong but I think they can be at odds sometimes.

I love and I mean LOVE when our atop members who know music post. I have learned so much about HOW Adam sings. I am still wondering about a statement made yesterday about how difficult it was for Adam to sing the descending scale in Fame. Anyone what to expand on that? I am all ears about why it is difficult. I thought the person said it was because it spans 2 octaves :-/

There's a vocal masterclass thread, and the Fame scale was mentioned. Here: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=vocal&thread=28&page=49#331915Hope you enjoy it! albiku! thank you! Now why do I keep forgetting that the Masterclass thread is there? I will just leave it open from now on. My question was already answered. And thank you cassie!

www.zalebs.com/category/photo-galleries/spotted/It’s official: American superstar Adam Lambert is love with South Africa and its people! The 30-year-old former American Idol runner-up and rocker, who is currently in SA as part of his 2012 Trespassing World Tour, spent last night out dining and partying at Cape Town’s trendy Beefcakes restaurant, in the heart of the “gay village” in Green Point in The Mother City. ........... OK guys, it has started!!!! Actually when you think about it, Adam has done several concerts, and next will be going to China, Japan, then to Indonesia for NYE. Me thinks "Official" Trespassing World Tour will commense shortly thereafter. These concerts now are the "work in progress" and dress rehearsals for the tour. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Quite frankly, if I had to analyze every note of artists' concerts I went to, I would have to stop going. It would completely ruin them for me. But that's me and maybe I am weird. :-/ Remember, I'm the person who loves Katy Perry! :4OMG:
