Dolly is a good example. She is proud of her assets and shows it off. It works because she has the talent to be more than a caricature. Adam wears things on stage to make the bulge prominent, as did many of the all time great frontmen. He isn't shy about it. Like Dolly he has the talent to be seen as much more. I hope you are right and he doesn't become a caricature. Sometimes I wonder when I see the pics that are posted here and other places and read the remarks at other places, mainly, that focus entirely on his GB. I've read concert recaps that seemingly only focused on that part and nothing else. I find that sad and, yes, demeaning. I can't imagine that anyone would want to be portrayed soley for one body part, no matter how "proud" one is of it. :-/ The press focus on the eye liner, not the glambulge. Although the DVD did change that a bit. None of us would be here two years later if he was all about the bulge.

Adam is the sum total of all his parts and part of his persona, is "sexy as hell" for me. It may be shallow but if he didn't look like he did and perform like he did I wouldn't go to multiple concerts and I sure as hell would not be on a messsage board talking about him for 2 years!

[walks in with a roll of paper; grins] While things were a bit quiet (and I'm waiting for a test to finish) I thought I'd take a look at the Mediabase addboard. This site lists all the radio stations who have added artists songs and it gets updated weekly. Just out of pure curiosity, I looked through the data to see if any adds have come up recently. Well, I haven't found recent adds but I DID find some funny stats on Adam songs! ;D =========================================================For example, and I kid you not, Columbia, SC actually added " WANT" to their playlist last January. Four stations, including those from Honolulu and Detroit actually added that gwad-awful " No Boundaries" coronation song. " Time for Miracles" was spun on five stations, including Oklahoma City, Milwaukee, and Hartford. Detroit spins a heck of a lot of Adam. About 38 spins or so a week. Strangely enough, twice as much IIHY than WWFM. ETA: Oh and 383 stations across North America added " Whattya Want from Me"

We gush about every last component of Adam – the short list includes: voice, talent, personality, charisma, intelligence, interview savvy, performance skill, dance ability, grace, creative courage, fashion sense, humor, eyes, eyebrows, nose, smile, teeth, freckles (subgroup: lip, arm, all-over), HAIR (subgroup: TOO MANY TO COUNT), legs, thighs, hands, shoulders, arms ... OH, yes, and the GB. Do you really think anyone focuses solely on the GB and that's all they're interested in? It's done in play and well, some things are a little tough to ignore at times. Part of Adam's too-numerous-to-count charms is his ability to just "let it all hang out" and be absolutely himself. Part of that is his physicality and his sexuality. He doesn't hide it or seem to be the least bit ashamed by this erm, rather impressive, physical attributes anymore than he's ashamed of the length of his legs or gorgeous, unique color of his eyes. But perhaps that is just my perception.
