Maybe Adam will soon be driving a Mercedes and Sauli can drive the BMW. (kidding) ;D ...I hope the MB connection is not only due to a fan employee in China - which is great btw- but that it would get him to Germany too... with some publicity and promo and concerts... (a new car would be a fringe benefit of course, not absolutely necessary though ;D) (Thinking about Mika Häkkinen ads they had, one flying Finn he was/is (F1 driver)...  )
belle, I don't understand what you mean by "a fan employee in China"....? oh, we were just kidding about the free car I'm sure Adam prefers cash instead. ;D
ETA: oh, if you referred to @alidol, she really is NOT an employee of Sony China or anything else of the sort, I know some people are still in doubt even after she clarified on twitter herself some time ago. She is one of the original founders of the biggest Chinese Adam Lambert Fan Site, www.adamlambert.com.cn (which has over 21,000 registered members), and the administrator of its official weibo account. She has been actively promoting Adam on Chinese social media along with her "colleagues" for the past 3 years, and made friends with lots of industry folks. During Adam's last Shanghai trip, she and other key members worked closely with the TV station and @fans堂 for Adam's meet & greet. She does get the scoop but sometimes the scoop might now materialize or fall thru, or plans change. From what I've seen, she's been very good at when & what to tweet out things she knows.

This is not a promo event to attract new fans, but a purely big $$$$$ corporate event. Here is the article, auto.cnr.cn/news/20121109/story_243438.html, detailing the whole event starting Nov 19 thru 21, but Adam is only there for the celebration of 45th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG, at which the new G-Class AMG product and special edition of SLS AMG will be unveiled.

The event will take place at 7p, Nov. 21, Ta Square, Guangzhou. Looks like the local Chinese Glamberts are mobilizing as we speak, so hopefully we'll get photos & vids, but regardless, it'll be in the news. No wonder why it was kept so quite and almost mystery anyway, I'm happy for Mr. Lambert who is making goooood money and attracting eye balls everywhere now. Those media people better enjoy Adam's performance or I'll >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(     |

Just having my coffee and catching up on today's news!!  What a great Monday morning!! Reading all tweets about the Finland show.....should I go? Shouldn't I go? How much are flights? Can I get a good ticket? Will there be another show closer to me? So many of us have gone through the exact same anxiety and excitement! I have butterflies in my stomach just reliving it through all of you. :2tears: :2tears: All I can say is: GO GO GO! Finland loves Adam. What an electric night that will be. This build up planning stage is just the foreplay to the electric atmosphere at the events. Make it happen! If he plans another one closer to you GO AGAIN!!! |

I think I read (with the 80's Show and maybe with the Voice of China too) that there were some fans in the organization of these events and they were pushing for his appearance to happen. It is great, truly - and that's how it happens in the first place (before the supersuperstardom there has to be individuals that see the potential). I was just trying to bring the speculation up a notch (>international) envisioning a MB (worldwide?) endorsement deal in the future perhaps - that would IMO need support on the German front of the company also. The Fiasco photos were going in the direction MB has had in some ads and in addition to that, Adam could bring in some different and fresh elements and looks too - if they are willing to go there. The visibility would be awesome... |

belle, looks like I misunderstood you, plz disregard my above ETA comments.
I like your line of thinking --- bringing up a notch! But, honestly, IMO, it's most likely Adam's current popularity and celebrity status in China that got him this gig, but ya never know what could lead to in the future, right?! |
