I was just reading an older New Yorker magazine (Sept 24/12) and came across an article about a book about human hair. I had to laugh at this bit. "Red hair, Neufeld noted, is one of nature's mysteries. There is some evidence that redheads, who make up between one and four per cent of the population, may be particularly sensitive to pain. Sorry, but not really seeing the 'phallic' resemblance outside of the most extreme of generalities (at which point one is probably seeing such in light poles and spoons). I say that as a gay man who considers himself, let us say, an aficionado of such things.  If anything, it just looks like the standard, modern day 'ice cream cone' mic to me. But, to each their own. I agree. Double agree! Aren't 90% of mics shaped this way (the one in the promo?) |
