www.citizen.co.za/citizen/content/en/citizen/lifestyle-features?oid=356121&sn=Detail&pid=146826&Special-deliverySpecial deliveryConfident and brash, American Idol superstar Adam Lambert took to the stage of the Coca-Cola Dome last Friday in a shimmering black suit.21 November 2012 | GENEVIEVE SHOW: Adam Lambert - Wearing more make-up than 90% of the girls in the room, Lambert, known to fans as “Glambert”, immediately led the teenybopper masses, along with their adult supervisors, into a dance-friendly experience. VENUE: Coca-Cola Dome, Johannesburg With every crinkle of his face – working to reach the pitch for a song’s high note, for example – Lambert suggested that he had been performing for years, long before his Idols debut. As anticipation built for the main act, Toya Delazy treated the audience to a different style of dance. Pump It On, Love Is In The Air, Are You Gonna Stay and Heart were crowd favourites, bar the fact that the words were barely audible between the singer’s aggressive attempts to gasp for air, as she took on a vigorous dance routine. Delazy was a satisfactory opening act, but her reception was nothing in comparison to the ardent screams that filled the venue as the entire audience leapt to their feet, as Lambert sang radio hits If I Had You and What Do You Want From Me. The show, divided into three distinct parts, shifted from the easily recognisable pop hits, via power-ful, soulful numbers, to an overtly sexual selection of dance numbers. With such a high number of under sixteens in the room, a gesture such as running your hands up and down the arm of a guitar, while its owner holds its body upright between his legs, cannot be sending a good message home with the kids. Then again, Lambert has never been shy about his sexuality. Apart from his ambitious styling, Lambert certainly knows how to put on a performance that’s entertaining and vocally magnificent in every way. Love him, hate him, you cannot deny that the singer is something special.

Sorry the whole "Adam as goodwill ambassador" in article mentioned above is just a bit much for me. He's a nice guy who seems to have a solid grounded view of life and strong values who sings a good song but calling him "our gift to the world" ...

Quoting myself from yesterday because I didn't hear from anyone if it works!? ??? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The NCOE video is listed in the voting for the "charts of the year" on the site of our German TV music channel VIVA! At the moment it's only on rank 290. :-/ I don't know if international peeps can also vote but could you all try? Thank you! Here is the link! ;D www.viva.tv/musikvideo/874-jahrescharts_2012_voting/playlist?page=6(Unfortunately I don't know how often you can vote. I voted a few hours ago and it doesn't let me vote again at the moment! I couldn't find any conditions of participation on their site! :dunno: But I'll try again from time to time! ;D )
