So, a little OT but still Adam related.....last week I picked up a stray dog running down the middle of the road. It's something I do all the time as I live out in the sticks and for some reason people dump their dogs when they get tired of caring for them. ANYWAYS, I've decided to foster this guy as he needs some socialization, some fixin', and TLC. So, I have to name him. I couldn't go with the obvious "Adam" as I already have an Adam and I caught some major eye-rolling from my DH when that came about. I thought maybe Sauli as the pup has almost the exact same coloring. BUT my DH is familiar with that name also -- it doesn't roll off his tongue but he's heard it before. So, brainstorm, the pup gives me his Huck Finn look this a.m. and it really did remind me of that childhood photo of Adam in costume. No, I'm not calling him Huck as I can just hear everyone around here singing the "Name Game" song.....Huck, Huck, fo, _______ . But, I came up with Mitch, short for Mitchell. Brilliant, right?! So, anyways, I have a new member in my furry friend society, MITCH! Exactly !! actually , if you look at past VH1 divas-es on Wikipedia , you'll see that there are a least 15 performers . And , I like Pitbull . Hehe !!!!! Okay. I just don't see Pitbull as being a Diva or as being like Whitney and Donna in some way, so didn't see how it fit the theme. I guess the connection would be that he is featured on lots of dance diva collabs. |

Thank you Jean1010. We really enjoyed the promos. My 50th time watching, my guests first time. My guest asked if I still liked Adam. My husband said "don't get her started." Well anyway I got started and I can't stop. Have been through a lot of ATOP just talking and listening to Adam. Made my day. Now I have to go mash potatoes. The thing is, I don't consider Queen + Adam Lambert a band. I see it as a special event. I'll bet many of their voters feel the same way. But the vote is for best live act, not for best band.  They changed it. When it first came up this morning it was Best Live Band. Yes, it was ETA: That's why people like Gaga are not on it. |
