news.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/Showbiz/Story/A1Story20121123-385284.htmlHONG KONG - The 2012 Mnet Asia Music Awards is just around the corner and it will be spotlighting some of the biggest names in the K-pop industry including Psy, Big Bang, 2NE1, Super Junior, Girls' Generation and much more. This year's award show will be held live in Hong Kong on Nov. 30 and is expected to draw in some of the biggest names in the Asian entertainment industry. K-pop's Big Bang, SISTAR, Super Junior and Psy and Taiwanese-American singer-actor Wang Lee Hom have all confirmed their attendance. B.o.B, the hip-hip artist behind the Billboard hit "Nothin' on You," and Adam Lambert, one of the "American Idol" stars from season eight, will also be making guest appearances at the awards ceremony. The legendary martial arts action film actor Jackie Chan will also be attending the show as one of the award presenters. In past awards show, the collaboration performances of Lee Hyo-ri and Big Bang's T.O.P and Hyuna and Beast member Jang Hyun-seung, which both ended in a kiss, have been some of the biggest highlights of the ceremony, and this year promises to be no different. However, there will be a slight twist. "The shocking performance of this year will be a collaboration between a male couple," the producers of this year's show revealed at a press conference. "This time we're preparing a performance with a male couple," said Mnet director Ahn So-yeon. "You can definitely look forward to it." (More) Hmmm ... There was another article earlier in the week which made me think this had nothing to do with Adam.

[/IMG]
Haha. It's not much better than I remember because I was one of the few that loved it immediately. I went on line afterwards and was astonished to see all the angst & criticism. When I rewatch I do now hear some of the vocal problems everyone was talking about at the time. But IMO it was WAY overblown, even by fans. I just thought the overall performance was great and so much better than 90% of the other performances that night. Vocals included.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this performance! EVERY LITTLE BIT OF IT! and especially the fact that it made an international star out of one AI8 finalist. I also was 1000% sure that there was no fall and the roll was part of the original choreography ;D... the ultimate professional... 3 years...I am ready for the next 30 Aleks - thank you

Had to rewind and watch it in slow motion several times to convince myself it was actually a fall. Now I giggle when I think about poor Brooke being right there and watching her BFF fall on TV. Pros, all of them!!

Gee when I read that comment about a shocking performance with a male couple...my first inference was that .. the collaboration was a genuine twosome who are together ...as in a "couple". (giving it a height of anticipation/excitement) If it was two random artists I would think they would use the word collaborate. does Adam wish to crawl out of a "press" gate for anopther time. And I for one would rather he had huge POSITIVE press for his great entertainment and vocal skills. Why would Adam, with a boyfriend, do something outrageous with another male when the focus should be on his music.I agree with you , but maybe the manager of this awards show , Maybe his first language is not english , so with saying "male couple" , maybe he meant "male pair" like , two men two male singers collab . Yeah, and what makes you think that it would be anything other than a crazy collaboration? It would be pretty damn ridiculous for the producers to script some kind of "romantic moment" and certainly didn't get that from what was written at all. They just said it would be a shocking performance. "Shocking" doesn't need to be sexually charged. Pink's trapeze performance was shocking but there was nothing sexual about it and it was just her.

Did anyone else get a weird PM from a new member that has never posted? Perhaps it is PM spam?!

I still love the AMAs because it was the first time I ever saw Adam. The fallout from the performance is still complicated, but I'll always love it because I might never have found out about Adam otherwise. Just think what I would have missed.

No, there has not been another Forbes list of Idols since the one that had Adam at #6. I think it was May, 2010. I don't know why because Forbes did one every year for Idols, then stopped :( I always thought that he would be 4 on the May, 2011one due to the 2010 tour and sales. But then much lower on 2012, sicne he was writing in 2011. [/IMG]
The last list I saw he was #2 earning $6 million from the period May 2010 to May 2011. Article came out in July 2011. I expected to see another list come out July 2012 for period May 2011 to May 2012 but never saw one. www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2011/07/21/the-top-earning-american-idols/
Thanks, both - think his year to May 2013 will look pretty good!
