Hi again everyone! Sorry it was late the time I posted last night and gone to bed. But now I got my caffeine fix and I'm wide awake!
Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's really heart warming. It's my first time to join a fandom but I'm in love with the man since Feeling Good week in AI. I actually didn't watch or heard of him until I came across a you tube video montage of my favorite tv series Smallville. The video used Mad World as the background song and I even forgot about what I was watching because I got hypnotized by the heavenly voice on it. I read the comments and I found out the name of the Artist(Adam Lambert) and because I never heard of him and I don't watch AI I google him.
Then the google searching sent me to his Satisfaction you tube video and oh my god, what the hell? I couldn't believe my eyes and ears as I repeat playing it.
Then I downloaded all the previous episodes of AI that I missed up until Feeling Good that I almost had a premature cardiac arrest when he was at the bottom 2... since then I'm a fan and I love it;)
Hope I didn't bore you all with my story hehe

I remember watching Ring of Fire on Idol and thinking how amazing Adam was as a singer (I am a singer and seriously jealous of his breath control) and what a wild song choice he made! Hi, everyone! Have been lurking this wonderful site ever since found out there is a wonderful Adam Lambert! ATOP, what a wonderful place with everything I ever need to catch up on Mr. Lambert! I must confess I have not gone thru every video on Adam Lambert yet, and I lurk here and there whenever I have a chance.
Anyway, a quick de-lurk
1. 霸气 - is Chinese expression in Mandarin pronounced "Bà qì" to describe the person's strong presence in a positive manner. This is typically used to describe the strong stage/ Star presence. It is also commonly used for an individual who has a strong presence of a "BOSS" or leader.
I think it is because Adam has such a beautiful face feature and physique, even people do not know who he is but will instantly feel he must be "someone", definitely not another "John Smith" :-)
2. There was a question on the street photo. The street is located at the end of Central before Sheung Wan. It is considered a busy commercial Downdown in US term. It is busy but not a main street and is a side street that runs from the main street to mid hill road level. The steps are made of big pieces of granite and have been there since 1850. Like many odds side streets which have street stalls, many visitors enjoy visiting there because it still have a good deal of the 30's characteristic. The local often use that kind of side street as a short cut from the main road. The photo indicated they were there after hours, otherwise, it will it not be so quiet and all the side street shops are closed.

I would also like to ask if there is any ATOP planning to go to the Korean gig scheduled on Feb 17th? I am thinking about to change my schedule after I finish business in Hong Kong on the 16th. Or if my company permits an extension on my leave, I would love to try to go to one of the Japan's concerts. But I worry it maybe difficult to get a ticket because the venues are rather small.
Lurking here really make me dying to see Adam live! I totally feel the excitement watching the vids on his recent SA tours!!

Honestly, I was kind of hoping the MAMA performance would be given a big boost with dancers, big staging etc supplied by the organization.
When I watch the youtubes of others who have choreographed numbers to Adam's music I find them to be WAY MORE HIP, fun and exciting to watch. I prefer hip hop types of moves with POP music, versus lyrical or modern.
I know folk say ...my eyes are only on Adam ...but two dancers on a big stage will look lost. Maybe they will perform along with a troup of dancers. A gal can always hope!

OMG ;D . Grammy Crew gnna Announce NOMINATIONS in 10 days 8-) I hope They 'll NOMNATE Adam ... if they don't  ,then there is NO point for me to Watch Grammy's Actually, I think the Grammy show is usually pretty darn good!! Unusual collabs and different styles of music. Not all Pop artists, like the AMAs are. I agree, the Grammys have been quite good lately. They are Feb 10, 2013. Before Adam goes to Asia based on what we now know. Looks like Adam will be there again this year. |
