I have listened to the latest albums from Groban to Pink, and from Johnny Mathis to Michael Jackson. Then I turn back to Trespassing, and I can say and mean, Trespassing is the most perfect sounding album I have ever heard. Each note, each pause, each sound, each instrument, the background singing. Adam's voice - all are flawless and perfect. I lay off listening for a few weeks and play other people. When I go back to Trespassing, I am astounded at the perfection of that album. Every note and sound on every track is pristine and perfect. Try it sometime and see if you don't get goosebumps listening to every track. Compare it to some of your favorite albums before Adam. Really give yourself over to the music, close your eyes and only listen to the sounds and you will be amazed.

I think what I am trying to say is that Adam's Trespassing album is different and something I haven't experienced before from a pop/dance album.

Not sure if I should post this here. There's been a lot of happy flailing & fun stuff and I feel like posting something serious could be inappropriate. But I assume we don't want to hide our heads in the sand. Am I right/wrong?
Anyway - Fans have been speculating for some time that Trespassing could have a good chance of a Grammy nomination. Not necessarily a win - but a nomination. If this column from HDD is an indication we might want to lower our expectations a bit to avoid disappointment. No mention of Trespassing - even as a "dark horse".

I have no clue how accurate this guy's predictions are. for me - no expectations to lower... TP has been ignored not only by the radio but by music awards shows, jingle balls with very few exceptions, print media (unless LGBT oriented) and what not... I don't think TP has any chance for any Grammy nod whatsoever... I am enjoying the success in other parts of the world - they appreciate the voice and the artistry... I tweeted to let them know that I believe the Trespassing album will be nominated for a Grammy. Who cares what this guy says, It's not all about profit and radio play. IMO, The Grammy is usually about talent and fine work.

I have no clue how accurate this guy's predictions are. You realize he is only talking about the 4 big categories here? Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Pretty sure no one ever expected Trespassing to be in any of these categories, not even me. I still think Trespassing has an excellent chance in BEST POP ALBUM. That is the category!

I was looking at HDD contenders for album of the year to see which ones are classified as pop thinking albums that get a nomination in Album of the Year would have a good chance at their genre. Clearly Rihanna, Pink and and maybe Maroon 5 would go Pop. Frank Ocean seems to be the favorite this year but I don't think he is Pop. To me it seems like Adam would not be competing with most of the artists on the Album of the year list. Trespassing is probably a long shot for a nom in Pop Album of the Year, but not hopeless.

IMO, The Grammy is usually about talent and fine work. Not really, not anymore. :-/ At least not in Pop. There's this huge component of commercial success and popularity. It's certainly not impossible for Trespassing to get a nom for Best Pop Album... but let's see how it goes. The album sure as hell deserves it. >:(

If Trespassing gets any kind of nomination I will  I won't be grumpy if it doesn't receive any nominations. It happens all the time that worthy candidates are shunned. Adam wouldn't be the first one. I will always be thrilled that WWFM was nominated. I just went and re-visited all the Grammy Nom tweets here: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=newsarchives&action=display&thread=13good times :D

Nope, not hiding my head in the sand. Thanks for bringing this over. And I am holding my head up high, proud as heck of his accomplishments, with or without Grammys, radio etc. I wish there was radio that wasn't dictated to by the youngest set. What about all of us that have been buying and playing music since forever.....I'm a little tired of being pushed aside and scoffed at when I call in a request. I think we should all call our requests in after we suck up on a helium balloon. I'm glad Adam has found acceptance overseas. I know he will have huge successes there. And, it looks like I may get in some overseas travel besides. I do know that when I see Adam here stateside that I will be wearing a Trespassing shirt that proclaims "Fuck Radio". I am just so tired of hearing the s.o.s. played every 20 minutes. And this is why I never call in. I tweet, text & do the MB forms that are connected to the station website. But I'm sure I'm not fooling anyone. Funny - but damn sad too. So - yeah - hooray for all the international interest. As he said in one of the recent interviews (paraphrasing heavily here): When I become frustrated or disappointed I remember where I was 4 yrs ago and then I'm very thankful.
