It's Saturday and I am missing my Atop friends from last week's soiree - guys, we need to do this again. It is addicting, isn't it? Mszue - have a great time at the viewing party today. We used the DVD you sent me for the soundcheck/preview and it was great. Thanks for your kindness. Midwifespal - thanks for the reminder. Did not realize today is the last day. Only $83 short of $322 K - awesome! Peeps in LA - I will be visiting my sick friend who is like a sister to me on Easter weekend. She lives in the Glendale area. Would love to meet some of you over a cup of coffee but understand if your schedules are full. Thanks mayumi...and you are so welcome! Our viewing party is actually tomorrow but it is a major operation getting off this island and into Vancouver....tomorrow noon I take a ferry to Crofton where I am picked up by fiercelier. We then travel up to Nanaimo where we pick up another friend and ferry from there to the mainland...Horseshoe Bay [closer to Whistler] and from there we drive to the PARTAY that melisende and Maria22pf are hosting...with a little help from me...I am more the cheerleader type! haha. Today is getting ready, my food contribution ready, and all that sort of fun anticipatory stuff. Did you all at mayumi's party have anyone skype in? How did that work? I can bring my laptop along and open it to skype if anyone would like that but I would like some feedback re how that worked for you....anyone? cheers and hugs all you lovely peeps....  |

Why would they want a 9th place winners' album to come out before the winners' album? Makes no sense. If this is true, I agree, Q3, it puts the nail in the coffin that winning matters. I might belive this if it was coming from People Mag. US has turned into another tabloid, IMO. |

Totally OT .... but a hell of a lot of fun none the less. UBC (University of British Columbia) offical LipDub. I laughed and teared up a bit. DH, myself and our son have all attended (son currently) UBC. Filmed on March 26th 2011 feat. Vancouvers own Marianas Trench in a cameo. The video is LD'd to their song "Celebrity Status" and P!NKS "Raise Your Glass" The kids are MORE than alright! Enjoy. This is absolutely brilliant!! What an organizational triumph!! I cannot believe they pulled that whole thing off with sooooo many people participating and those long continuous tracking shots are NOT EASY. They require 1000 different variables to happen in concert with nothing going wrong. Then underwater and helicopter shots?? If it's a film student who directed, he deserves an A+++ GREAT EFFING JOB!!! And it was fun, empowering and adorable. And BC is gorgeous!! Was there a year ago today for River Rock.  Holla, Melisende!!!  I hear you're going to be the hostess with the mostess again today  Have a BLAST B.C. peeps!!!    |
