He's not feeling well...Simple as that Adam slayed Hong Kong and Shanghai. It was a more than stellar couple of days for him. Therefore, doom fap must follow. It's the law. ;D But shouldn't it be me in charge of that army? ??? ;D |

I would love it if we had a special thread for Adam's covers. There's quite a nice number of them by now, AI not included. All of them in one place. That would be nice. Also, a while ago, there was an idea of starting a GNT thread and lots of people posted their favourite vids in that purpose. That would be really nice, too. ETA Love the Weibo love for Adam!!!! I was up to watch the livestream & then stayed to watch the videos coming in. I then took a 2 hr break and fell so far behind I fear I'll never catch up. Question of the day - can we really have a RL while stanning AFL? I don't know the answer but leaning toward NO.
So the latest is that he's not feeling well and there's speculation that TPTB didn't approve of the Fever performance and are keeping him under wraps? Seriously? That's reaching pretty far IMO. Speculation is fine and can be fun but sometimes these things take on a life of their own true or not.

Yup, that's what I think too. And boy - for not feeling well, he really didn't show any sign of that on stage... Yes, that's how professionals do the job. And I also believe, that doctors have some magic potions in they pockets for performing artists, that can raise person from deaths gates for 2 hours, but then you drop. Yes, Adam has done this a number of times -- even during the Idol tour. The magic is often just vitamins like B12. |

You may be quite right - except that nobody said he would be 'shirking responsibility', only that there is a possibility of a negative reaction from the authorities' part. I myself don't know how sensitive it is in China - or elsewhere in Asia but certainly I think it is possible. We just will have to wait and see. In other words, "shirking his responsibility" to own up to that issue. I'm seriously crying... They absolutely loved him!
..being that the discussion is about what I wrote re "cover" I feel I should explain: - I did not mean to imply any "situation avoidance" what so ever, especially not on Adam's part. I don't know who announced the interview cancellations, I certainly did not see anything issued by Adam or his team. I am 100% sure that he performed exactly the way it was rehearsed. Just look at the camera focus on the glorious "crotch grab" - the camera was there BEFORE the said grab (OMG, I can't believe I've analyzed that :redface: ), so THAT implied that they expected the "grab" to happen at that exact moment (unless they had a special crotch dedicated camera for the whole performance ;D)... Having said that - we are dealing with a heavy top-down society...meaning that something could've been approved by a bureaucrat at some level, and then disapproved by someone in a higher echelon... At that point they would come up with some "excuse" and that's that... I also don't know if the event was televised at all, or if it was a private event with on-line streaming and no-one but the Hennesy people had anything to say.... It would be great if anyone with the knowledge of the inner workings would post (how does this all work in China?) That was my "conspiracy theory" thought and I used the word "cover"...Again, I hope Adam is not sick! It was a great day, I think I spent 6 hours in berting mode... :redface: the boy is a wonder!  |
