Coming in a little late here, but have been watching all the recent Asian videos - Guangchou (sp?). Hong Kong, and Shanghai - for me was the very best has been the duet of "Are You Gonna Come My Way" in Shanghai - What a surprise! - Adam, you are a true professional to pull this off while feeling under the weather! - and Tommy, you did yourself proud!

So we don't have any tweets from Shang Hai this morning? I hope Adam's feeling a bit better. At least he will be at home for 3 weeks, enough time for juicing before he has to fly 24hrs to Bali.

Phew - what a ride! All I have to do is strap myself in and let AFL steer through the continuum. I'm overwhelmed by the vastness of it all. I can't imagine how he manages to replenish himself but trust that he will.
Thanks to everyone who brought such riches to us. Times like these, there's no other place I'd rather be but Atop.
ETA - Just had to post one last time today so I could see my new avi again (courtesy of the lovely LindaG).

I too know lots about music from before my generation was young. It's the stuff from my 20's and on that is fuzzy. I find that many young people (late teens to 30s) know an incredible amount about past rock/pop, especially from the 60s and 70s. I often wonder if it's because they find much current music not as interesting and search other decades (especially those of their parents) for enjoyment. Just guessing here. My 29-year-old nephew had almost nothing but classic rock played at his wedding dance. I recently heard a discussion about this in NPR and the suggestion was made that the internet and sites such as youtube have exposed young people to so many different types of music from earlier generations that they do not care so much when it was made, they just care if it is good. That makes a lot of sense. I'm impressed by how much some young people know about music from my era. My generation was not generally as interested in listening to music of their parents. Of course, there is less of a difference in the music between baby boomers and current young people than between my father's big band and Judy Garland days and boomer music. Rock just changed everything.
