You need to look for the close ups of the supposed "finger" because it never happened. There is video and photos that clearly show he grabbed the buckled strap under her crotch and did a "trolley pull" as Adam himself described it. There is one angle that looks like "the finger" and only one. The other pics show what actuallyy was going on. You are right, The finger never made air. We saw it as a still photo later, and many have it confused in their memories. I was speaking about the middle finger salute at the end of the performance, not the buckle strap thing. The middle finger was shown live Eastern. I saw it and immediately looked around hoping that my husband was not in the room to see it. If others did not see it, I don't know why. |

Just saw the news on the Internet. It's so horrible! Poor the children and their parents (and those adults as well). I'm really sorry for all the victims of the shooting and their families.  I heard on the radio this tragic news, what a horror just breaks my heart. Why are people so cruel, I do not have words to describe how I feel at the moment ... all the emotions mixed together. Too horrific for me to process. Felt nausea first. Then fury. Just an hour from me in CT. Worst thing close by since 9-11. US needs to rethink gun rules. I understand the right to bear arms as part of the founding tenets of our country. But, it goes without saying that no one with emotional problems should have access. Crazy people give them to crazy people. Kids now have access to any kind of information about planning murder they want to find online. How does something like this get prevented? So beyond unacceptable. RETHINK USA. You sent people to the effing moon. Can we not find a way to prevent? |

I am so sick about this shooting, it has wiped out all the joy I was feeling about the "Adam weekend." It sounds like an entire Kindergarten class was killed, and I have a daughter in Kindergarten (and 3 other elementary-age children). I am just heartbroken for the families involved.

A female member of the press corps in those days was known for wearing flamboyant hats. After Pearl Harbor she didn't think it was right, so she just wore a small black one. After a few days FDR stopped her and said, "You know, this thing is pretty grim already without you wearing that hat." |
