A little bit OTT: I was invited to a concert a couple of weeks ago and I was going to say no because is quite far away, in Lisbon, and because I didn't know any of the artists as all of them are portuguese. But as one is Aurea, the girl who sang with Adam in Shangai. I liked the stuff from her I saw in youtube, so tomorrow I will go to the concert. It is not the Diva concert but... ETA: we have here people from all over the word and I am sure that more than one socialist. Enjoy the concert!!!!  ETA: And tell us about it later! Skylar, I wasn't offended by your socialist comment. But just so you know, in Spain there are two major parties: the Popular Party and the Socialist Party. The first one has similar beliefs as Romney, the second one has similar beliefs as Obama. So in my case, yes, I'm a socialist.  Being a socialist doesn't have the same connotations here in Spain than in the US. |

Exactly. He's implying that those of us who don't believe that religion has a place in schools are responsible for tragedies like this.I don't really think that is what he is implying at all.
He's clearly implying that this wouldn't have happened if we "reinstate God & prayer back into our schools." Therefore, people like me who support the separation of church and state and are preventing said reinstatement, must be at fault. If only the heathen among us would allow the teaching of religion in schools, we'd all be safer!
If all he was doing is seeking solace through his beliefs, he could have simply said that he was praying for the families. Instead he chose to offer his own opinion about what would have prevented this tragedy--and given the violent history of religion, it's not a valid opinion. I don't see what's wrong with people pointing that out. |

Unfortunately religion is regularly kidnapped and controlled by ego. In faact one could state the case that religion is the manifestation of the ego's take on God. I prefer to believe in God beyond "God" par Tillich Because I just know you all definitely wanted to know that. I have always wondered what sort of God let you to prosyletize that our beloved Adam was an Alien from outer space!!  :4OMG: |

I was just watching Access Hollywood and there was a VH1 Diva promotion segment with Adam where they show a scene from a prospective skit where he is being schooled by Nene Leakes as to how to be a diva. Adam and Nene are in front of a grand piano and Neil Lambert is sitting at the piano. So I guess Neil will play some role on Sunday night, maybe just in a sketch? Just realized that was Neil at the piano!! Which is why I did not come out with a next in the series even just for fun. I called a little planet Fierce meeting way back then regarding a possible sequel. Alas Adam is very un-alien-ish. So, as much as I loved that fabulous planet. I could not continue. Fierce is a human trait and Adam owns it. In fact IMHO he is that person they are talking about when they say we are not born truly human but we may "become truly human." Adam lambert is highly self-aware, highly creative, has faced suffering, and knows self sacrifice. He is "truly human." Though who is to say that there are not plenty of space aliens with the same traits. Not I. I'm sure there are some exceptionally fierce, highly creative and self sacrificing space aliens out there. Nor is this to say that I have any negative preconceptions about space aliens. I do not. Full respect to all space aliens!! Who knows, space aliens may not be as alien as we conceive... |
