I'm sure everyone already knows this but there are a lot of people from around the world here so... maaaany Americans believe that the right to bear arms keeps the government from taking power, that it keeps "the people" in power because the government is afraid of the people rather than vice versa. LOL @ the idea that "the people" have the power and not the government and LMAO @ the idea that government is afraid of the people and not the other way around. It's 2012 not 1812. I honestly don't think that is the reason most people who have guns have them. I think it is for protection from other people with guns. IMHO, of course. |
