I remember Adam, at a gay event, chastising the gay community for being bigoted against other gays,who didn't act a certain way.. stereotypical gay men.He stated that there is no one kind of gay man ,that they are a diverse community.
Great article and video by Advocate Magazine ,December 10,2012.. called "Why Do Gay Guys hate other Gay Guys by Blake Pruitt. It would be great if someone would bring it over.
IMHO I think it goes to the answer of why gay men in America,are not super fans of Adam..Adam who will do all he can with a boa and who seems to embrace all types of gay men..He is revolutionary in all walks of his life...
I still believe that the Trespassing album was a love song to the gay community and from what I can see a majority didn't choose to support Adam or his CD.
Sad because he is so in their corner in every way... Please see the article ,it explains a lot.IMHO While Adam embraces the individuals in the gay community,many do not embrace him back,. They seem to be embarrassed by Adam and keep their distance. He simply does not match their acceptable gay stereotypical male behavior or the face they want America to be comfortable with.
Could I possibly love Adam any more for his brave individuality and truth seeking..
