I found the outfit funny, well a bit odd but not bad. However, the performance was not great, unfortunately. Big problems, especially in the beginning... shit! Maybe too much happening and distracting in addition to some apparent sound issues?

How humiliating for Adam... Oh geez.. and this is going to be repeated two more times on TV oh no.. I hope they cut the Ray of Light out ..I don't know if i can watch the rest of the program.. I'm sooo upset. I actually think it can be fixed in post-production. Don't know if they will fix it, though. |

I don't think it is humiliating to Adam. It ended great That's what people usually remember.

I think it's a bit drastic to label this some huge disaster. Most comments from professionals seems to be "rough start, but pulled it together nicely." As some have said, shit happens in live performances.

I'm sooo upset. I think fans hear it a lot more critically than the average person. I doubt Adam will be "humiliated" by that performance. The rest of the performance was vocally stellar. The first 30 seconds or so, not so much.... Sad, if 30 seconds of being a bit off key can ruin the rest of this amazing night. Adam will NEVER live up to this ideal of absolute perfection that some people have for him.  |

It occurs to me that we are all super super super sensitive to this sort of pitch worry. Probably, (hopefully) not everyone else is. Plus, it ended well and he did recover amazingly!
