It doesn't really matter that he was off-pitch in the first part of the song. He's been great the whole night, everyone has been praising him in Twitter. Everyone is praising the Ray of Light performance right now. So whoever noticed the off-pitch part will probably know that he had sound issues, because he's been great the rest of the show. He's been GREAT tonight!
Wonder if he'll sing more.
ETA: And it doesn't matter if it's pointed out here that he was off-pitch at first. Chill! We're not dissing him.

He did great, it was fine and a good performance for the VH1 vibe. Seems we spend way too much time hand wringing at the slightest wrinkle. One of his most lauded performances (mad world) on AI has a clanger right at the end do people still talk about How great the performance was. Oh and It's dance music not Broadway... #imflyinrayoflight

This is just my opinion.....BUT..............Adam's so called *awful* (which I totally disagree with, just so you know...is way betterer than anyone else's great, as I said, in my opinion. I didn't think it was awful at all. He fucking couldn't hear himself....but he hung in there, and recovered. It sounded a bit weird, but awful, terrible...worst you've ever heard?? Really? AND.....I may be one out of a million, but I fucking loved the outfit!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It was so Adam, being Adam!! And, I love stuff like that. So, I'm weird, who cares? I don't, for sure. As far as I've seen on twitter, the peeps that are there and heard it live thought it was amazing. So, I guess we can all agree to disagree, but I'm going with the people who heard it live.  And, I'm just happy I lived through it. I was at Council Bluffs when he sang Ray Of Light in the sound check. Unfortunately, Hoopla and I were in the bar and didn't know it was going on. Major FAIL and I'll probably never get over that. |

He is really going to kill that sound guy Fuck.. this is the biggest moment in terms of career in his life so far And it is trending everywhere Then shit like this happens again.. fuck the sound! The second half was good first half was really rough for him... couldn't find the key Hmm, I guess I have a different perspective. This isn't the biggest moment of his career. And he's been doing a great job hosting and singing in the other numbers. A screw-up at the start of one song isn't the end of the world. Overall, I think he is going to come out of tonight looking great. My thoughts exactly! Been a great night! Can't wait to watch it again! |

It occurs to me that we are all super super super sensitive to this sort of pitch worry. Probably, (hopefully) not everyone else is. Plus, it ended well and he did recover amazingly! I'm not going to worry about a few seconds of sound problems because he adjusted and sounded great. We had whole songs off pitch by a few DIVAS tonight!  |

Glad to hear that apparently Adam's last song sounded good live. That's something, at least. My heart goes out to him for the rough start. He's done a really terrific job all around on the show.
