He got control, but there were pitchy moments on-and-off through the song. ROL doesn't have a great melody to begin with. It really is more of a "studio song," I don't think anyone would be able to nail it live. Yep check out a few of Madge's live attempts... ;D ;D ;D I have heard a few of her attempts, lol---she is awful. Honestly, IMO, ROL is at it's best when it is being played in a club. |

This was a big deal tonight. Oh wait, I forgot about singing in front of a quarter million people with Queen and before millions on Chinese TV. So, just another routine gig I guess. ;D
Not to mention singing in front of 20 million+ people on Idol every week.  Yup, just another gig. Ho-hum. ;D |

The problem was in the first 20 seconds. After he corrected himself on the second verse he totally killed it. It really is more of a "studio song," I don't think anyone would be able to nail it live. I agree. After watching again, it wasn't just the beginning. I think the mics were a little bit dry too. He nailed it at that soundcheck from a couple of years ago, though. 8-) Just not today. But it's okay. He did GREAT overall. He outsang everyone, he was VERY funny and likeable, and people loved him. 8-) 8-) 8-) What more can we ask for? We stan the best artist ever. :wub: :wub: :wub: |
