OMG, you guys are crazy funny.
Don't think that because the saying is that a guy is 'hung like a horse' that this is to be taken literally, gals. But I don't believe the 'phone' story either. I think he somehow decided to transport his personal glitter microphone around in this rather dubious location and provide Adamtopia and the twitterworld at large some much needed anatomy fanfic material.
Now if that mic starts shooting glitter Velvet Goldmine style, then he would really start confusing everybody.
Change of subject:
Taking things one step deeper than these shallow waters above:
I loved Adam's choice of Kabalah outfit and here is why:
Adam tried to take the song vocally to a spiritual level, by just making it a bit deeper and more intense in sound and sadly this comes across only partially, due to the sound problems, but with some will you can still hear it clearly.
Putting his own interpretation into it, taking it further than the original, but by keeping it classy. Not by outdoing Madonna with the crazy or the disco or the controversy or anything we typically associate her with, but by looking at the lyrics and trying to make something of it.
I looked them up and tbh they are about a spiritual something something, but it is not obvious what. So, I am not even copying them here. Interpretations that I found are talking about 'taking things to a spiritual plane' and about 'Luciferism'. I have no idea whether this is correct or just internet babble, but I am not going to make heads or tails out of these lyrics anyhow or don't want to even try.
What seems to be clear though is that it is a somewhat spiritual song and somehow describes a moment in a personal path. All our personal paths on beliefs tend to zig-zag a bit, at least if we are thinking and are not stuck in some place of no growth. Sometimes it is not so much about whether the step on a path is right or wrong, but rather that we are progressing and growing on our personal path. In that sense, I am not even trying to understand what head space Madonna was in at the time. But I respect that she tried to be on a public journey and expressed all of that in her music.
Adam takes her serious in that attempt. And while it is difficult to interpret these lyrics in a literal sense, he decides to use his vocals as well as his visual representation to take us there. Whatever it then means to us individually, is kind of personal at that point.
Here we are in middle of a dance celebration and Adam is able to give us this moment of respect for Madonna, by taking her serious in her journey.
And he is just totally willing to put himself out there, well knowing that many will just ridicule him for 'wearing a poncho' or sending him on fashion police for the outfit. He does not care, he goes his own path. Understanding Adam does not happen by looking at one look, it happens by looking at 10 looks together and seeing the breadth of what he wears and how massive a story all these outfits together tell about him.
Need to think about that some more.
SRSLY, I LOVE THIS POST
