Seems to be a quiet news day [grins contentedly] Quiet days can be fun. [whistles while starting to pull swatches of greenery out of the carpetbag and setting around the thread] [reaches in and pulls out a giant spool of silvery threads; starts tossing them onto the greenery] [adds glittery snowflakes everywhere] [brushes glitter off hands] There we go. Much prettier, no matter what holiday one is either getting ready for or cleaning up from! ;D |

What can we do to liven up the day? My holiday company is coming TODAY.....I was so hoping I'd wake up this a.m. and that Adam had been out and about last night. Oh well. Guess I'll throw on my Queenbert cd and bake some bread.

Although I like the concept of the Fiasco photos, there is something about the execution that bugs me. In many of the photos (see the headline photo today), his face is just wrong. I don't know if they narrowed his face or what. But it makes his nose look a bit big. He does not have a BIG NOSE. Right NICA and nose team????? ya... IMO they changed the proportions of his face, as you said - made it narrower ...may be its the lighting... The Fault mag also played with his perfect face... I suppose all in the name of "high fashion"... :  I don't really understand why they need to take a naturally perfect image and distort it... but I think even Picasso would not have succeeded in making him look ugly ;D (just came from a huge Picasso exhibit at the Guggenheim - I was struck by the "ugliness" of the images...interesting why I had this reaction now and never before... :dunno: )Happy to see the Gigwise win! :Clap: |
