I embedded the seating of Araneta Coliseum which says seating capacity 9679. Higher figures are possible because there are no individual seats in general admission, and people can be packed closely, also in aisles, etc. For sports events, seating is around 16,000.  Wiki says 16,500 for concerts. Perhaps your chart is not counting the GA on the floor? The GA on the floor you mentioned is actually patron and is always seated as far as I know. My info comes from the website of Araneta colisseum itself. www.aranetacoliseum.com/2006/seat.php. As I said, they could pack people on the aisles in GA at the topmost level and upper box B which do not have any seating reservation but have individual seats.  SM Mall of Asia arena is newer(opened this year) and larger than Araneta coliseum. The last time Adam was here during his Glam tour was on Mall of Asia concert grounds which is of smaller venue than the two. However the coliseum is very much accessible to commuters. |
