Nomination: Adam Lambert blows out the roof with Queen at Hammersmith Apollo on July 12, 2012!The highlight of the year was Adam's second concert with Queen in Hammersmith, London on July 12th. That was really something, both emotionally and vocally! I was so lucky to experience it myself! Adam Lambert, performing with Queen, delivers performance worthy of standing ovation at the Met!
Lambert, probably best known for appearing on American Idol, kissing a guy on stage, and wearing eye makeup, is actually a classically trained vocalist with sixteen years of experience performing in musical theater before being "discovered." Touted by some vocalists as having the best technique and voice in pop music today, Lambert proved the assertion by turning the Queen song, "Who Wants to Live Forever" into a rock opera aria and earning raucous applause from the audience of avid Queen fans. Bravo, Adam!

Been MIA for a while now, but have just caught up on TEN daily threads  Thank the gods that they weren't 100 friggin page concert threads...lol I'd still be on thread 2 if that was the case... ;D
I missed wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays thing and hope that everybody had a special time shared with family & friends. :wub:
Right now however, for me, is New Year 2013, which is just 3.5 hours away for us.
NZ is the first country in the world to see the new year in and I can already hear some fire works starting up.
RL is changing for me and one of my NY resolutions is that I must, must, must spend less time stanning this beautiful man called Adam Lambert. So I will be here less and less unfortunately. MY love for Adam is not diminished in any shape nor form, just the time I spend following him 
In just seven days from now the works ~proper will start with the $2.026 million dollar retaining wall that will save my and my neighbours land from the insidious slow moving landslip that has steadfastly been damaging our homes over the last 3.5 years.
The ~fix will take upwards of 5 months. For 6 days out of 7, our houses will shake from the trucks, the pile driving machines, the bulldozers, the pounding and the intense traffic that will be happening only metres from our houses. We need this fix badly, but I envisage leaving my house regularly to get away from the noise.The contractors spent 8 days a week or so ago ago prepping and clearing a huge swathe of land along the creek adjacent to our land & to be honest, just that excercise was horrific and affected all of us.
WTF will 5 months of this be like?

Catz, We will miss your wonderful posts. You must continue to drop by and keep in touch. But, it is great news that the work will be done to save your house. You fought long and hard for this to become a reality. So happy for you.
