I like Hugh Jackman, but I think the part of Jean Valjean was above his singing abilities. I was so disappointed with this song in the movie for it was my favorite from the show. You can compare Hugh to this YouTube and see what you think. I hope someday Adam will sing this. Brilliant, just brilliant rendition!! I think Les M. is just SO up Adam's alleys of interest (singing, acting, Broadway, movies, etc.) that he said what he really thought, and I think he made the decision a long time ago not to worry too much about saying what he really thinks about what he really cares about - I think it's a habit of his, and not a bad one.
He didn't say anything horribly mean and there are haters, trolls, call them what you will, who wait, just wait, for any celebrity news and then make their comments - don't read about Kanye and Kim K. right now - some of those comments are as ugly as it gets, too.

Night to remember! Thanks @adamlambert for welcoming 2013 with us in Bali. Those at the front were Glamberts coming from all over the world!
Just came back from Mulai after an extravagant night with Adam Lambert! It was unbelievably up close & personal! I was like under his nose!
I couldn't tweet from the venue as my twatting does not work in this country. Now after a warm shower at 2.30 am, I'm all on a high.
Hotel personnel did not check & nobody stopped us from taking vids. I had my dvr on most of it except when chased back to our seats.
We were at our places. It was Adam who suggested there was lots of space in front of the stage & clearly only Glamberts just rushed there.
I was just centre front, at the stage edge, dvr rolling, but remembering Adam's viewpoint on taking vids in his shows. Felt like shutting it
Then hotel staff asked us to go back to our seats. We 'complained' to him about it & he said, ask them to fuck it! haha
I moved & lost my vantage point, Adam said ok need to follow the rules, maybe move to the side so those seated can see. I went to stage side

I know nothing except that without even seeing Les Mis (just the trailers) I was thinking the same thing that Adam expressed. I "get" that a new technique was used and, I guess, when you film a show that has been out for so long that you have to attempt to do it differently. But, I like good singing and do not like acting singing. Of course the film industry is going to say the production is great, I'd love to hear what Broadway is saying. Something tells me it must be close to what Adam expressed. Good for him. And, if you don't agree with him, good for you. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. We don't all have to think the same. It's just music and an opinion given re the entertainment industry. Couldn't get more subjective then that.
