Returning back from vacation to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year and to see what's going on and I find both Adam as well as Kris on the front page of Yahoo.com
WOW!
It's been a while since that last happened.
Got a lot of reading to do at Atop to catch up, and I try to figure out what is all going on and I find Russell casually referring to our bb as 'Adam', additionally backing up Adam's point even though he was one of the 'unmentioned' that Adam had targeted with his critique.
Quite amazing.
Also, Adam is meanwhile a big-time celebrity visiting Vietnam, being photographed by the paparazzi at the airport.
Meanwhile Kris is sending 'deer in the headlight' pictures via his Mom. Rough start for him in 2013, I must say. Hope it goes better going forward and wish him and his wife a more uneventful pregnancy from here on out.
So, based on all these New Year events, I'd say, my wild and wacky prediction for 2013 is: Russell and Adam are going to meet on a talk show for a chat. Actually always thought that this would be a cool combination, just had so far no reason to see that happening any time soon. Now that has changed.
Oh, yes and we will somewhere get a picture on Adam holding that Allen-baby. That's prediction #2.

Now, I'll spend some time reading...see you on the other side. Thanks for all the goodies brought to this wonderful place here on Atop by so many helpers, sorters, contributors, archivists and many others.
ETA What amazes me most about this tweet, besides Russell's generous honesty and directness is not only that he obviously knew who Adam was, but also that he used Adam's tweet to make a statement of his own, that was politically tricky to make otherwise. He is one smart cookie too.

Continue to source out material. Rehearse a bit...do business stuff...do family stuff (Sauli and Adam).  Great reception at the airport yesterday! They really are organized!! It is probably not gone to happen but for Asia's sake ..it would be wonderful to do a shortened version of Time for Miracles. Yeah..that might be a miracle. There was a tweet awhile back about some song being sent...I am sure he is working towards a fast album. What he means by sonically different ...in the new album...oh the speculation. |

I love those airport pics! I've ranted before about melvin (well not exactly ranted) but reddish, scruffy, natural melvin is lovely! And with minimal to no makeup it looks sexy as hell.
And CUTE too!

I do not expect Adam to take a break for 6 weeks -- so I imagine he will be doing something that we do not know about. But I would be really surprised if he was working on a new single or starting work on his new album.
After almost 4 years of following Adam, I have learned to accept the Adam concept of time...
"soon" = sometime in the future but no date yet.
"ish" = there is a tentative date but it could change.
"Adam performs at 9:00PM" = he will actually start at 9:42PM (because he is backstage doing press and/or M&Gs)

I really wish Adam would perform TFMs. I honestly believe that song would have been a hit IF it had been promoted and performed. At the time it was dubbed in the US/Canada/UK by critics as dated but since then we have had a few retro songs become hits. And the US/Canada/UK really do not represent musical taste. It is truly one of my fav Adam songs.
