I watched the Adam parts of "divas" yesterday -- he really nailed it. I honestly think when we first watched we were all on hyper something cuz nothing this time around seemed near as critical as when it was happening. Even the heel twist coming down the stairs -- I think it was a sorta dance thing cuz he did a littler version a step or two later. And, ROL, LOVED it. Yes, he did! :Clap: |

Whoa! Adam being used for American Idol Season 12 promo in Asia! ;D Wow. Does this earn one of the dancing kitties with the dollar signs? I'm thinking maybe it does, but I'm not sure. |

Well I'll be damned... (if I say this tomorrow again, I'll be really damned) Who chooses the stars for AI promo in Asia? AI execs or Asian marketing people who are doing the commercial? I am guessing the TV channels that show AI can market their channel and programmes they have paid for to show as they wish. They can get material (clips) from AI that they are allowed to use. Probably AI makes some new promo collages (with judges maybe) that are ready-to-use but a foreign channel has to modify it to fit their channel and starting times and dates anyway. Finnish channel used Sauli for promoting Big Brother and they use Adam in promoting AI. They pick up almost all Adam news on their site and mention 'new season AI starts...'. Probably they will do a localized TV promo insert for AI12 too - and if they do I'll bet they use Adam clips in it. They might not be so lucky that Adam would shoot their promo like in this case, but they will choose suitable clips, perhaps even Adam saying a few words. In the Philippines they might use Archuleta or Jessica Sanchez perhaps. It would be stupid to use only clips of artists that are unknown in the country in question. The locals have the knowledge of their specific market and it is beneficial for them in helping to find big audience - that is beneficial to AI, too. Win-win? Who is really surprised if you think about it? :D |

You all should try to catch the Palladia channel version of the Divas. IMO the sound is much better than anything I heard on other channels. (I erased all other versions and kept the one I dvr'ed on P.)

Who is really surprised if you think about it? :D Quoting myself, sorry, cause I wanted to explain a little bit further. Yeah, I said no surprise that TV channels do their best in their own promo. BUT of course, we may be surprised, amazed and happy that they think Adam is so popular that they want to use him. Or, maybe they know that he is?On the other hand they know about Voice of China, Hennessy, MAMAs and his own concerts this spring - those do promo too and it works also to their advantage. Also Adam being in the area available for shooting that promo is a factor too. Good job TV channel - and YAY for Adam! :Clap: |
