Global superstar Adam Lambert made his first ever performance in Indonesia singing songs from his albums including ‘If I Had You’, ‘Naked Love’, ‘Cuckoo’, ‘Never Close Our Eyes’, ‘Whattaya Want From Me’, ‘Is This Love’, ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, ‘Encore’ and ‘Trespassing’. Adam entertained the crowd for over 90 minutes. Fans, young and old, danced to his tunes at the dance floor and interacted with Adam and his band and dancers.

I adore him but...I wish someone would take those fugly sunglasses away from him!!!!  He just flew for about 9 hours. He is hiding his eyes. |

I like how Adam sings "I gotta love you" instead of "I wanna love you" in Is This Love performance. Maybe my imagination, but there seems to be a special sideways, lingering, twinkling glance off stage when he sings around 5:08 "we'll share the shelter of our single bed". It is all just so sweet and leaves me all tingly.

He was very precocious. I took him to a lot of plays and concerts when he was small, and he always found a deeper meaning in them while I always took things literally.

I think the Les M publicity is going to be a bit like Le Kiss publicity was. Maybe not a highlight but we'll be seeing new fans on the boards who started looking into "Who is Adam Lambert". Also with the number of personal attacks on the various commentary sites (he even merited 300 responses on a gamers forum) I'm seeing similarities to Michael Jackson. I'm not sure I'm thrilled with that but I think it shows that having detractors isn't the end of the world. The net effect is that 5 minutes on Twitter earned Adam over 200 articles -- many in print. I know he does not plan this stuff but the timing was perfect for generating press mentions. It is amazing how much effort people put into posting negative comments on articles about Adam. It reminds me of how people respond to articles about Lady Gaga and Madonna. But that negativity just seems to attract attention to Adam and earn him more fans. |
