I found a very useful feature that was missing from the forum - you now can get EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS for PMs: go to Profile - EDIT Profile - Notifications - scroll down and check the PMs.. Re the $100 Fam. Foundation Gala tickets: the "RESERVED" seating is not really reserved. In fact no seat is assigned. Here is the organizer's response to my inquiry: Hello,
Thanks for your question! Your ticket ensures you have a seat but the seats will not be assigned prior to the event.

It is really hard to see the lines around the person you are quoting (least on my thread) and you probably just stayed inside their quote. I wish I could make the gray area a little darker on my page and the lines framing quotes were darker!  I know...it is such a vague line, I can barely barely see it. More definition would be very much appreciated, but I couldn't get more on other skins I tried either...*shrugs* Anyone figure out if we can preview posts before I embarrass myself completely? ETA: Also, yes, youtubes..how are they brought over now? |

Nica...you always could get email notifications! I have been getting them for ages...forever? seems like it. What i cannot figure out is how to make a youtube embed...perhaps it does not to save space?? tinafea? do you know? On the bar codes above where you make your post it's the dark arrow looking one after 'image' code. I'm [probably not making any sense here! :-/ |

OK, to post a video you start a new post, then at the top right there is a little button thingie that looks like one of those old-timey movie director's black and white ... things ... that they clicked to say Action and Cut. You choose that and can put the URL of your video in there.

OMG!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! Yay!!!! Finally, "Shady" live with Nile and, hopefully, Sam! So excited for this event!
Congratulations to Adam on his GLAAD nomination, too!!
I've been chained to my desk all week, and listening to Energy Radio has made it more bearable. I'm really enjoying the station! It's cool to hear Adam's music mixed in with other artists (without having to program it myself!), and I'm discovering some other music that I like. I'm getting addicted to hearing an Adam song every 20 or 30 minutes, though. One night I was working very late and listening to the station and they didn't play an Adam song for over an hour and I was disgruntled, LOL!
Whoa. The forum format changes will take some getting used to. I do miss Adam's tweets at the bottom of the page, the Newest Threads link at the top of the page (there's a Recent Threads link at the bottom of the home page, but it's all messed up), and having the link at the bottom of a page that allows you to jump back up to the top of the page.
Also, being able to directly access the last post in a thread from the Last Post column without hitting the New button. And being able to see a poster's geographic location. And being able to preview my message before I post it. Makes me nervous to post without being able to preview.
Regarding the time display, if you hover your cursor over "minutes ago," you'll get the exact time. After 24 hours the exact time shows up automatically in the post.
When I go to Edit Profile, I see that there are new Notification Options. You can choose to get a notification when someone @ tags you or quotes you, plus many more options (I, too, hope that the liking, blocking features will be disabled).
The new format does make me want to have an Adam avi even more now because everyone's avis look so nice!
In the meantime, until I can decide on an Adam avi or can go back to no avatar, I'm putting in this pic I use on YouTube because the default avi here is creepy. |
