Just checking in and I want to thank JustKaren, Stardust, and Jablea for your suggestions and encouragement. I know the key is exercising and cutting out junk food. I just have to make myself do it. I use to go to the gym five days a week and work out about 2 hours each day. Had some RL challenges and stopped doing anything. Just didn't feel like it. Now I need to motivate and discipline myself to start a routine again. Thanks for the advice.

Ok, I tried banana yogurt, sliced/smashed bananas, and wheat germ (sounds gross but definitely is not). It was just like a dessert. Really, really good!!!

I used to put wheat germ on my son's peaches so adding it to yogurt is something I can try. I do bananas in my cereal every morning already, yeah potassium. Oh and did you see The Doctors today? They say banana peel taped nightly on warts helps removal.
adamrocks, good luck with it all. I could handle an hour here or there, it's the all day thing that's daunting. I'd get a lot of my magazine reading done that I'm years behind on.

I tried that - you know what works better? Cider vinegar. I know this is gross but if you've ever had a plantar's wart you know they are very difficult to kill. I had one which resisted every thing I tried for years...even liquid nitrogen at the doctor's office. Cider vinegar worked....(i know, gross, gross.....GROSS......sorry but the topic was raised...lol!) I put wheat germ on my cereal every morning....good for the B vitamins, isn't it?

lol, how is cider vinegar gross? Now it's shitty to drink, but it can be done --since you brought it up hehe -- to prevent UTIs. (pickle juice too) ohhhh, you meant the discussion of warts was gross. More lol. I was raised by a biology teacher, not much grosses me out.

Topic: Enablers
Unless you are living solo you probably have someone in your life that is not the most helpful to your weight loss plans. Someone who buys cookies (for the kid - yeah like they need them) or adds extra cheese to the spagetti sauce in addition to the shreded kind that you add yourself. Or thinks that just because you were weak and ate a brownie one week that they should buy some more and leave them withing easy reach because they are being "nice" to you.
arrghh

So for the planters wart, is the cider vinegar applied and then covered?? I have a child who has had one for years. In the process of having laser treatments.

I love vinegar! It is so good for many things: tang in food, odor control and cleaning for a few. My grandmother used to drink a couple tablespoons of vinegar daily because she thought it kept her healthy. So, now for warts? Interesting.

Topic: CHECK in DAYHow the heck is everyone doing? I'm finally feeling halfway back to human even though my cold's still hanging on. From reading the news thread it seems that more than a few of us have caught the gunk this month. Well I'm please to report that I've lost ...... hmmm, well damn! We can just toss that report out into the wind. I think I'm reporting on the "pants feel looser team" for this week. Oh, and my grocery shopping has improved to the point where I feel a weekly bunch of asparagus and a sheaf of kale is a normal thing. Well as normal as 2 weeks in a row can make it. I've had salad for lunch the last two days, talapia for the family tonight. Maybe next week my scale will have a new found appreciation for me again.

So for the planters wart, is the cider vinegar applied and then covered?? I have a child who has had one for years. In the process of having laser treatments. plantar warts are vile things. Rip off a piece of cotton ball just big enough to cover the wart and dip it in a few drops of cider vinegar. Place it over the wart and cover with something which will stick....THIS is the tricky part - experiment with bandages and duck tape to find something which won't fall off from the moisture. I criss crossed two water-proof bandages.... Do this at bedtime....remove in the morning - I guarantee the wart will be black and rather alarming looking. (It gets worse before it gets better) You have to be diligent.....mine was very, very deep and it took a few weeks of this treatment to completely kill the sucker. The "core" will eventually get smaller and harder (like a tiny little black pebble) and be easy to remove with a needle.....This works for normal warts too - google it - tons of testimonials out there. Oh...and I don't know how old your child is, but it will throb like hell for the first few nights. I had that thing for close to ten years - tried everything so a little pain was worth it! haha! We kinda went off topic eh? Weigh in today?....haven't gone to bed yet! Catch ya all in a few hours!
