Another take on Les Miz w Adam mention. She interviews Marni Nixon (the singer who was dubbed over actresses in many of the classics) t.co/pmrB03e Love her points. Good article...interesting calling up Adam's critique...man is given a lot of credibility just by being mentioned. I'd love to know if Marni Nixon has heard Adam sing and what her take is...she had a children's show in Seattle for a number of years , Boomeraang, and even her speaking voice is melodic.

The Scientific American version of that research article about the evolution of pop music has a brief, but great video link that shows how the increase in loudness when a song is recorded changes the amount of musical detail one hears. Worth a look.
