On TP, I'm partial to Pop That Lock and Kickin' In just because they never fail to get me moving. LOL, if that was a comment to my post earlier where I said Cuckoo and Naked Love... were 'top pop hits'... I meant radio... I still perk up every time I hear Chokehold, Runnin' or Shady starting and making me move - Trespassing too, but it might be because it is the start of it all. But for my personal top three is getting crowded cause Pop That Lock has climbed up there

I think my FIASCO was sent! I just had a $26.60 deduction from my debit account, the exact price of the magazine! Squeeeeee!! I am about to make a short story long. Here's the short version: I got my FIASCO on Wednesday from our local bookseller, Book People. Now the long version: I had inquired about it in early December and had left my name, number, and request for a copy with Adam on the cover with the salesperson and she said she would leave my note for the magazine buyer, Jerome. Then nothing. Needless to say, I had pretty much given up, then on Wednesday I had a message from Jerome that my magazine was in and I could pick it up anytime. Without hesitation, I drove to Book People (which is downtown) immediately after work and even though I knew downtown traffic could be crazy, the area was a madhouse and there was no parking in the adjacent multi-level parking garage or within 5 blocks. I decided to come back home and call Jerome, just to let him know that I would pick it up on Saturday. We got to talking and he was amazed at the response to the magazine - every copy Book People got in was spoken for. I told him Adam Lambert fans were passionate people and he said, "No kidding" and that the magazine would be on his desk with my name on it. He also said I was lucky because my copy had Adam on the cover, to which I responded ... YAY! Anyway, the more I got to thinking about it, the more I thought some passionate fan might talk the salesperson out of my Adam cover and so I went back that same evening at 10 PM when I should have been asleep because nobody was going to get my Adam cover; no how, no way. At the help desk, I asked for the magazine and told the sales people that Jerome had saved it for me and one of them said it is probably behind the check-out counter, to which I replied, "No, Jerome said it would be on his desk." The guy looked confused and the young woman laughed and told him that the copies of FIASCO were in a box on Jerome's desk with a note on them that said, Touch These and You Die. LOL. He wandered off and she laughed saying, "We here at Book People like to be very clear." While I was waiting, I finally understood why the parking had been so awful earlier ... Sonya Sotomayor was there reading and signing her new book. The young lady said the place had been packed like sardines and that the Justice was still up on the third floor signing. But I got what I wanted, Adam's FIASCO in my hot little hands. It's good to have priorities. Linda what you did sounds perfectly logical to me! I would have definitely gone back the same day to get the magazine. I'm still waiting for mine from Cafe Magazine. I sure hope I get Adam on the cover.

About American Idol... I was seriously addicted, for a while. I had this film which I downloaded, with all Adam's performances and judges' comments and mentors and his visit to San Diego. When I say addicted, I mean I had to watch it every day or else I would experience serious withdrawal symptoms. At the time, I was a closeted Glambert and often I had to come up with various wicked plans to get my daily dosage. It gets worse : that summer, the one before last, we finally got to travel outside the country. After 10 years of not being allowed to leave it, we managed to save enough and went to the lovely Greek seaside, kids and all. And all the time, instead of enjoying the experience, I worried how the hell I was going to watch Adam. Just crazy! So, every evening, I would go to a local Internet Cafe, under various excuses, packed with kids and teenagers playing Wolfenstain or shooting zombies. I would carefully choose a desk where no one could see my screen - not always possible, let me tell you:))) I was the only adult there! I would watch his AI performances for a while; not nearly enough, but I was careful not to cause any suspicion, so I would leave after a 'reasonable' amount of time. I felt like Mata Hari, I swear:))) Those were the days! My first baby Glambert steps:) I love all his AI performances, though. Perfect jumping board for his career Also, I really don't get the contemptuous 'oh he is from a reality tv show' attitude from some - bunch of hypocrites, I think. I don't think there is anything odd or over the top about your story. When I visited my family (my parents don't even had a computer, much less internet) I would find excuses for why I had to make trips to the library so I could use one of their computers to at least check up on what was happening with Adam and with Planet Fierce/Adamtopia. That became insufficient so I bought an iPad to bring with me, and a special mobile wi fi connection. Every night after all had gone to bed I would sit in my bedroom with my iPad and headphones and catch up/ get my fix. Don't all Adam fans do such things?

It's like NSYNC meets Nine Inch Nails, best combination ever

ROF was the first time I laughed at Adam, and not in a bad way, but in an OMG did he really just do that. That is probably what I love most about being his fan. He can make me laugh, by being a goofball or having balls of steel to do something nobody else would have the guts to do. So much this. ROF remains one of my favorite AFL performances. You've given me a great excuse to quote an excerpt of TWOP Jacob's recap of Adam's ROF on AI. It's also one of my favorite Jacob recaps, plus the mentor that night was my namesake, Randy Travis. Trifecta! I think Jacob was right about America's discomfort with that performance of ROF, to the same extent that its audacity and virtuousity gained Adam a lot of fans for life. That was the night I became convinced there was no way Adam was going to win AI because a lot of its demographic was never going to get over this epic performance of ROF.

I think we have all been there at one time or another! Remember my big summer pool birthday bash and anniversary party last July, the same day as Fantasy Springs so I couldn't go?! I kept sneaking into the bathroom with my phone to read twitter!!

I really want to donate but I really wish they had PayPal. But if they have raised $12,000 already for Adam's birthday I guess many feel the site is well secured. I'll go have a look again.
