2.2.13 Adam in NYC

I actually like watching Tommy perform (after I've seen Adam a zillion times first). He's a bit dorky in a way, but he makes me smile and laugh and feel happy. And he has good rapport with Adam on stage. Yes, Tommy could smile more. (But then my dance instructors keep telling to smile more during competitions and I just can't seem to do it. It's SO hard to smile and have fun while you trying to remember all your dance technique and not make a mistake at the same time. Especially when you know everyone is watching you and judging you!!! But they tell me it comes with experience.) So maybe Tommy is still in the stage of thinking more about what he is playing and not so much about smiling or other presentational aspects. It will come as he becomes more relaxed in his role of lead guitarist. He's only been doing it for 1 year compared to Nile's & Brian's 30-40 or so years as lead guitarist! And Tommy has already become much more relaxed now than he was last May at the 1st full radio concerts.  I heard many comments at last May's Wilkes Barre Trespassing concert about how much more relaxed Adam was by the end of the GNT than he was at the first GNT show in Wilkes Barre.  I expect the same thing will happen for Tommy. So give Tommy some time to become more experienced and I think he will surprise everyone. And I think Adam will be saying "I knew you had it in you all along"!

I also loved reading Tommy's Tumblr and was very dissapointed when he had to take it down because of all the hate responses. It showed a very different side of Tommy. Inbetween all the scary movie type of pics, he really had some very mature & wise responses, especially to the young teens asking for advice. And he expressed alot more of his deeper thoughts & feelings. I've not gotten the same sense from his current Face Book page - he appears to be holding back there.

I knew it was out there, thank you for putting into words what I only was smart enough to ask for!

Guys, he is 31 and not some inexperienced kid - he is grown up man, he didn't play a guitar since yesterday and he should know by now how to play things on stage haters or not (who cares about some anonymous idiots from internet anyway?). IMHO he will never change - he doesn't have "it", he is not a performer and it shows. Not to mention that half of the current band is younger than him and they don't have this problem.
